Can anyone help me understand the Candlelight Processional dining package?

Planning a trip for early December and am getting a little overwhelmed! I'm trying to figure out the Candlelight Processional because I think my mother-in-law would really enjoy it. But, I have read that seats are tough to come by unless you can either wait 2 hours or get a dining package. We have 3 kids under 5 so waiting 2 hours isn't really an option. That leaves the dining package.

I can't really find much information about the dining package, except for some on AllEars that is from last year.

Is it true that a CP dining package is two dining credits even for a 1 credit restaurant?

Is a dining package really needed and if so, do we get a nicer meal for the 2 credit cost?

When will the 2010 CP information be released?

Thanks so much for any help!

In 2009, that was true. (In fact, there are no 2 credit restaurants in Epcot, so this was true for ALL CP package restaurants)

All you would get extra is the preferred entry to the show, a possible reserved section for Illuminations viewing (most likely no seating - a roped-off area for standing) and an appetizer if you are on the basic plan and choose a restaurant that is not buffet or family style.

When will the 2010 CP information be released?

We don't know that yet.
