Can anyone give me some info?

I am thinking of going to Orlando the last week in May, first week in June 2010 and I just realised that Gay Days will be on then. Can anyone tell me how busy the parks get then, how busy hotels are, how noisy the hotels are with everyone enjoying themselves especially later on at night, how busy restaurants get and how busy in general Orlando Disney area will be? I read somewhere that last year there was around 12000 plus people there. I am a bit concerned about how long we will have to queue for rides, trying to find places to eat, noise in the hotel, etc though I do think the atmosphere would be brilliant.

I am just trying to decide when to go and any information to help me decide would be greatly appreciated.

I think you missed a zero on that. Gayday normally draws from 50,000 to 100,000 people to the Orlando area. Many people never leave the host hotel(s), except for the various parties.

The parks can get a bit busy on "scheduled" days (but not everyone follows the schedule) and the Magic Kingdom is normally busy on the Saturday, but in general the crowds are more manageable than they are at SPring Break time or later in the summer.

The sat. at Magic Kingdom... MK get very crowded from mid morning, to mid afternoon. The bulk of events take place, in the host hotel, and facilities that are off property. The 100,000+ people that attend pump over 100 million dollars into the local economy, but usually are only in the parks for a few hours out of the day.

The hotels not hosting events might have some folks staying there, but not the loud parties. Most of what you notice is lesbians pushing strollers, other wise nothing is very noticeable other than the sea of red shirts.
