I work at Fairfield University in Ffld Ct. The employees and the students are trying to collect enough funds to send a 5 year old child who has Lukemia to WDW. They are working with Make a wish foundation but all money collected will go to this boy.
I was wondering if anyone has any points that are about to expire. Would you be willing to donate them, or perhaps sell them at a small fee to us for Ryan?
Please send me a PM or e-mail if you would be willing to help out. I can give some of my points but don't have enough left this year and have already borrowed from next. Unfortunately they didn't tell me about this until our vacation points were used up.

Not to try and put a damper on this effort, but it's going to be difficult to do what you are trying to do unless the get the points in blocks large enough to reserve at least a single night.

DVC rules only allow a single transfer of points in or out of an account per year. So there's no easy way to accumulate points for an effort like this.

What you'll need to do is coordinate this effort. In order to make it easier on everyone, I would suggest:

Specify an explicit time period that Ryan will be staying at a DVC resort, and exactly what type of accomodations are needed. Then, allow people to sign up to donate individual nights of the stay. Once you get everyone lined up, then you'll need to ask each person to call MS and make the reservation in Ryan's name for the night that they signed up for - it might help if you do a conference call with the individual and MS and yourself, and hopefully, MS may be able to link these individual reservations together. By doing a conference call, you can make sure what gets done is what is needed, and can also keep track of the individual confirmation numbers.

Thanks for the information. If I do get people to donate enough for one night I will definately do the conference call.
