Our next trip is to BWV. We are going in Janurary. I was just wondering if anyone who has stayed there can let me know what they liked about the hotel and why?

Also, do you have any tips for staying there?

Thanks!

Location, location, location.

I love walking to Epcot and MGM.
I like the atmosphere of the Boardwalk in the evenings.
I like the pizza, bakery and ice cream.
I like the clown slide (Keister Coaster - or whatever) at the pool.
I like hanging out at Community Hall on a rainy day or just picking up a dvd to watch in the room.
I like coming back to the room at lunchtime and eating casually as we rest for a while.

How's that for a start? :)

As far as tips go...
Find the closes exit (stairs or elevator) to use near your room if you can. Sometimes you'll walk more if you just head for the elevators instead of zipping down the stairs. This is especially true for the end of the hall near the parking lot. If you're walking to MGM or the bus stop, you can save the trouble of going all the way through the lobby if you go out the far door.

We  BWV! We stayed there in March 2006 and simply fell in love with the place. Lora hit all of the reasons to stay there...Definitely location! Central to MGM and EPCOT. If you sit out on the veranda we were able to watch the fireworks at Magic Kingdom. A short stroll on a beautiful evening and we saw fireworks at EPCOT and MGM. As for eateries, the Boardwalk has a nice variety of places to dine or just grab a bite. The bakery....ah yes. the Bakery! Wonderful! Delicious pastries as well as wonderful sandwiches for a light meal. The Boardwalk entertainment is nice. I could go on and on! In fact, we are waitlisted for our vacation in October at BWV...

Love the location of restaurants, parks and love the boardwalk itself. It's great to take a walk around the boardwalk early in the morning and then grab a coffee at the bakery. At night it gets very crowded (from 7 -10pm).

It's a nice hotel.

The location is very nice. It is just a short stroll to epcot, and MGM studios is just a few minute boat ride from the docks at BWI. You really can come home for lunch or dinner (or maybe a nap) and head back with very little time spent commuting. The BWI atmosphere is great, exciting & buzzing. You will enjoy, no doubt about it. I like to think of BWI as the adult's playground and BCV accross the water as the children's playground. Of course young and old will enjoy either resort, but the shops, pubs, and such on the boardwalk have a more adult flavor. Have a great time. We're headed to Vero Beach in 3 weeks!

You take the elevators down to the lowest level, and turn right. The laundry is on the left, shortly after you enter the hallway (and it's free!!! :thumbsup2 ). If you haven't brought detergent with you, there are dispensers in the room (I think they're $1 and are for 1 or 2 loads). :wave2:

You will love it!!! I like the location and the furnishings...very NE to me.

We stayed at BWV in June and loved it. It's a fun theme and a nice resort. We found the CMs to be very helpful and friendly. By far, the best thing was walking right to Epcot and MGM. Wow! This was the first time we actually stayed for all of Illuminations and totally enjoyed it. Usually we are in with the crush of people nearest the exit, and we leave early to beat the rush to the buses. Still waiting to relax and see all of Wishes.............

Excellent location. I'd stay at BWV's again in a heart-beat! The only thing I didn't like, and it was inconsequential in the grand scheme, was the walk to the parking lot if you don't valet park.

We own at BWV and love it. Be aware that the rooms at the end are a long walk from the lobby, boardwalk and boat docks... but they are close to the bus stop (from an outside path) and the path to MGM.... you may want to request a room that is closer to the elevators, to be closer to the docks, and the bus stop (via the lobby.)
