Can anyone confirm?

We'll be flying to WDW from Ottawa in a little over a week. Can we just attach our Magical Express tags to our luggage, hand them in at the counter in Ottawa, and have them appear in our resort rooms after we arrive in Orlando?

Basically, I'm wondering if we'll have to collect our own bags in Orlando, or if Magical Express will collect them for us.

We'll be flying Westjet, if that makes a difference.

Tags can go on anytime.

Having to collect your bags in Orlando will depend on if you can pre-clear US customs either in Ottawa, or at your last deaprture point before entering the US (if on a connecting flight).

If you pre-clear US Customs, you will not need to collect bags.

If you can not pre-clear US Customs, you will be required to collect your bags, clear US Cutoms, then put your bags back in the care of the airport then delivery to your resort, or take the bags with you (in Orlando).

Yes, we're flying directly from Ottawa to Orlando, and on ottawa-airport.ca, it says, "All passengers leaving Ottawa on a direct flight to the United States clear U.S. Customs in Ottawa prior to boarding their flight."

So, I'm guessing we're good then! Yay!

Yep no issues here... Have done it before, just put the ME tags on before checking your bags and hit the parks when you arrive at WDW. Unless you're like us and are on the later flight into Orlando from YOW.

Can't go to the parks with an infant at 9 at night. :S

Yes, that's our flight! It's just me and my husband, so we're planning to go out for a late dinner after we arrive.

You have all my admiration for tackling the parks with an infant! Our teens have both opted to stay home this year.
