Can anyone come onto Disboards via a phone and not get a malware popup?

Anytime I try to come here via my iphone, I get a 'YOU'VE WON A PRIZE!' popup. This has been going on for quite some time. I don't have this issue with any other site.

Is this happening to anyone else? Did you find a way to fix it?

I come here on my phone and tablet, and am actually posting this from my phone. Once I turned Java off, no more popups.

I have an ad blocker app for my phone and iPad.

I use Firefox. I have Adblock PLUS installed on all my devices, so I've never seen the infamous pop-up for years. But I got a new cell phone recently. As soon as I got on the DIS, on Firefox, <bam!> it popped up. That's when I remembered to install Adblock PLUS. Haven't seen any since.

Make sure you download Adblock PLUS. There are many copycat names of Adblock ____, with other words, since Adblock became so popular and known to work. The one you want the original, real company that says the Plus at the end of the name.

I took my computer to a hotel last weekend and ever since I signed into their wi-fi I have it constantly, its driving me batty!

I have never had an issue before.

Yep. I use Firefox with no trouble.

Yes. No trouble at all on my iphone. I tried using my MacBook this morning though and I couldn’t get past the pop-ups/redirects.

I used to have the problem with Chrome on my Android, with AdBlock Plus installed.

(Knock wood) No issue using Safari on my iphone with AdBlock Plus installed.

From what I have read the ad blockers work differently (and much better) on iphones than on Androids.

For the most part, NO.

I use Microsoft Edge on the phone and tablet and never got any pop-ups.

Sometimes I don't get them, but other times I can't even use the site due to the constant pop-ups. (Safari on iphone).

I've never gotten a popup on the Dis, either with my laptop or my phone. I use a laptop with Google Chrome and Ad Block Plus, and an iPhone 6S+

Thank you for the suggestion of Ad Blocker Plus, it seems to have worked for me. (Fingers crossed!) Tip: You must enable it is Safari after installation, a step I think I missed previously.
