Can anyone beat $12/day for full size at National?

This is before taxes and fees. This is for 10 days in September.

I used BJs coupon and Continental code.

Inquiring to know if I should be checking every single day in the hopes of getting a cheaper rental.

I am assuming this is for a week and then broken down per day rate. I am looking for a GREAT code for a 1 day rental. I have an intermediate with budget for $18 something. I prefer National but they were moe expensive. What are some GREAT rate codes for national on a one day rental? Or even Dollar!

Where are you guys finding these rates? What is BJ's coupon? I thought I was getting a good deal from National at $93.77 (total price) for May 1-5 using coupon ID 10009123 (Ent. Book) and product rate 6600330 from mousesavers.com, but I guess I'm not... I am an Emerald Club Member, belong to AAA, have an Entertainment Book and belong to Northwest World perks... can anyone help me?

I was logged in last night, so when DH was answering this thread it was in my name. I will have him look tonight when he gets home. DH has all the codes and prices, and yes this is for a week. We will be going for 10days in July, as DH said.

Is it less expensive to reserve a rental through National using EA or ER or no difference??

RSSCHNECK: I'd give up on National for a 1 day rental. I went round and round trying to get a decent rate, but unless you're renting from them for enough time to be eligible for the weekly rates, it seems impossible to get a good rate from them.

Ryan849: BJ's is a membership wholesale club, like Costco. I know they're in the Northeast, but I don't know if there are any around you. Annual membership is about $40, so it probably wouldn't be worth it to join just for a car rental coupon anyway. But they do have some good rates. I'm using their Budget rates and coupons and getting a Grand Marquis for 4 days from Budget for about $120. I know I could get a much better weekly rate from any of the companies, but for a 4 day rental, that was the best I could find.

I used the Continental code (5037126) and the $20 off coupon (10009123). When I check now, it's over $300 with the same code. You just need to keep playing around with codes and dates.

What's this? I'm looking to rent National for my upcoming trip, 5 days in early May, but the lowest I've been able to do is about $14/day before fees and taxes. I'm using the same codes that ryan840 is using.
I've heard of people using Carlson codes and others to get down pretty low but where do you find these codes?
