Can an adult order a child’s meal at a sit down restaurant

Honestly, I miss the days when I could eat more. Aging, illness who knows I can no longer eat large portions of food. Will the sit down restaurants allow me to order a kids meal?

Likely depends on the restaurant. Even most that will it will be a larger size with additional cost - not the kid size. QS shouldn't be a problem - especially if you use mobile order. It's TS where things get dicey.

Buffets or AYCTE you pay the adult price regardless.

Splitting an entree or ordering an appetizer as an entrée is also an option.

My wife and I split entrees and ordered off the kids menu without issue.

Thank you everyone for the responses I understand the buffet are full price and I’m not looking to get the children’s prices at these restaurants. Just hoping for more options in case my daughter doesn’t want to share an entrée.

I miss the days when you could order half-portions at most Disney restaurants. Price was half-price plus $1.

Last few times we asked due to an allergy (like some restaurants had plain grilled chicken on kids menu and not adult), they made the portions bigger and charged an adult price. I have heard though some restaurants will allow. However like someone else suggested ordering from a quick serve thru mobile order no problem.
