My boyfriend and I are going to Disney World in May. We have been a few times before, and one of the only rides we have never ridden in the Magic Kingdom is the Barnstormer. We are also Coaster Enthusiasts. We'd really love to ride it, but we don't have any kids. Is it okay for adults (with no kids) to ride the Barnstormer? I won't try if it's against the rules, so I wanted to ask here first.

Yep. But, depending on your size, you may each have to ride in your own seat. I rode it about a thousand times with my 3 year old in September, but I don't think another adult and I could have ridden in one seat together.

I rode with my 4yo several times, but I don't think 2 adults would fit together. You should know that the ride is over pretty quick...very very short ride.

Of course! You might not be able to sit together but you can see. I go with my 4 year old Brother!

My 15 year old son races a late model race car so he is accustomed to going really fast in his car, but he wants to ride Barnstormer everytime we go to MK. This past summer we carried his girlfriend (her first visit) and we stood in a very long line just so she could ride it! Of course, we all ended up riding it. Have fun!

You know, I bet you could both squeeze into one car...I fit w/ my 11yo dd....Im a big person, and we were comfortable.

We ride it every year. DH and I fit in the seat together. It is a little tight, but we fit. I timed the ride a couple of years ago. From the moment the first car peaks over the top of the first hill until it is all over is 9 seconds.

Yes, adults can ride. We were a family of 3 (2 adults and 1 child). My husband rode with my daughter and I rode alone. I had never been on a roller coaster before this since I'm scared of them and this one was just perfect for me, but way to short. The ride was about 15 seconds literally.

It's not terribly high up, no. And not very fast, either. It's a step up from the dragon coasters on carnival midways and a good way to ease nervous folks in to the coaster experience.

A toony told me that the Barnstormer experience in its entirety is a whopping minute long. Dumbo's ride time is longer than that!

My DD loves the ride. So the whole family rides it. I have to say that I think it is a very uncomfortable ride. The back of the seat is not comfortable. Maybe it is just me, but I can't lean back in the seat without it hurting a little. I am a small person too (5 foot nothing and a little over 100 pounds). Maybe it's just me. But I ride it anyway because of the kids....

It's not just you ; for the being the shortest ride ever, it is one of the most uncomfortable. The back of the seats are hard molded plastic and was lumpy. Just killed my back. But of course dd loved it and so I went on it several times with her.

My DH and I have a college DD but we ride it everytime. I'm sure we look funny standing in the line with no kids but we feel like kids at Disney.

I'm a ride sissy, and I liked the Barnstormer. It's about as exciting as I can handle, lol. I'm NOT a small person either, me and my DH were in seperate seats.

Hey, you'll be in WDW, no one would ban you from a kids ride!!

Then when you're done, you can buy a Barnstormer t-shirt. We got one for my dd when she rode it when she was 2. It says something like, "My First Roller Coaster"...lol.

I'm sure it's fine. The seats are small, so unless you and BF are small, you are going to be in separate seats.

My husband and I ride it together sometimes, when our daughter is off with somebody else.

We do fine in it together. :) Our daughter, tiny as she is, could not fit in it with us.

Love this coaster.......have been on often with the younger grand kids...we ride it a few times in a row......I just love Toon Town...

the Barnstormer was the perfect coaster for adults and kids. To me, it was similiar to alot of other coasters.
