Can adults not buy ice cream at social

We are a party of 8-4 adults, 3 kids and 1 20 month old. Can some/all of the adults not buy the ice cream at the social? I was thinking of buying the full price ice cream for the baby so she's not upset that her's isn't the same as the others and perhaps DH will want ice cream but the other 3 adults are on diets....we'll pay for it for the entertainment value but would really rather not be tempted....

I think there is a $5.00 entertainment charge if you don't get the ice cream.

In June, we did the ice cream social with 8 adults and 3 children. My father-in-law did not order the ice cream. All others in our party did order the ice cream. He was not charged any entertainment fee. Maybe because so many of us did order ice creams. He did have a beverage, as did all of us, and everyone was charge for that.
