I hope you can get the phone to work. We back our iphones up to a computer; DH and DS do theirs more often than I do, but I don't have anything important on my phone. That way, if you have to get a new one, just plug it in and restore it.
. What does that even mean? And where are you that you'd have to move heaven and earth to get rice? I think there are a dozen stores within 5-10 miles of my house that sell every kind of rice imaginable. Inquiring minds want to know.
Even though DH paid out the waz and bought the extended care plan, I'm sure Apple will void any warranty due to the water. Anybody have feedback on using a 3rd party repair place to try and salvage the phone and/or data? Turns out it was not backed up because DH has been having trouble with his Apple ID for a while now...
Yep - that phone's a gonner. We arrived home late last night so I imagine DH's first move today will be to hustle over to Apple and see what can be done about a replacement and any hope of retrieving the data. Thanks to everybody who gave input.
