But first try phoning the reservations site. Apparently sometimes they have rooms that haven't made it onto the website.

Very true, if your not seeing in online...it's not there. Although we have called directly and lucked out since someone had cancelled and it literally had just become available. In all our trips though....that has only happened 2x. Welcome to the boards! And good luck!

TA's do sometimes have access to available rooms when the public does not. Some agencies hold "group space", ie: blocks of rooms that they then offer at a discount. They also have access to other suppliers that they can book a room only or package to WDW through besides Disney Travel Co.

I've been able to see availability on the TA site when the regular site and CRO both say there isn't.

I'm sure it's the exception rather than the rule, but it can happen.

Id say 98% of travel agencies call disney or check the same availability. Only a small number of them prepurchase the rooms (ie: travelocity)

eh, some travel agencies are tiered differently and have access to rooms when others will see them as booked. a Good rule of thumb though, if your sources look booked, it is going to be expensive to get around that.

No I was able to find a travel agent that found a room for me at AKL when none were available on line or by calling. I'd give it a shot!
