Why on earth would anyone (besides a celebrity) move, on purpose, to CT? I'm trying to get OUT of here! This has got to be the crappiest state in the nation! We have, like, the 2nd or 3rd highest state taxes, and there is NOTHING to do here! Unless you like farms.... and road construction![]()
I know it's late in the game, but no one has commented on this so I'm going to.
There is no formal night on the 3- or 4-day cruises. Only on the 7+ day cruises. The only occasion you'd have to dress up is if you decide to dine at Palo on the 3- or 4-day cruise, and even then - like Jordan said - a coat/tie is sufficient. No tux required.
3 days if you've never been on a a cruise is good - only because if you get seasick you don't want to be stuck on a boat for a week. However, if you enjoy it - it'll fly by. Warning - once you start going longer, you'll find it hard to go back... we've done 3-, 4-, 7-, 10-day cruises... and I don't think I could ever go back to a 3- or 4-day one now. It would be like spending a day at WDW - way too short to enjoy it fully.
We always enjoy the balcony, but partly because you can enjoy the ocean air without leaving our room (but really, anyone can go out on deck for the same enjoyment if they so wished), and if our kids are sleeping or something we can watch them and still be "outside." However, porthole rooms, or even the Navigator's Verandah (the "poor man's balcony room") are much cheaper than standard verandah rooms, so if that's an issue, you might go that way. Some people if they have young kids go that route for safety's sake (can't fall out of a sealed porthole).
HTH, and enjoy!

After seeing you post on numerous PTR's and TR's, I decided to take a gander at your PTR. I've only made it through scrolling down the first page, but I am dying from the pictures!! You all have FUN!

But you get snow! I was born in CT (New Haven, at St. Raphael's), but we moved down to Texas (where my Mom & her side of the family are from) before my first birthday (so I learned to talk in Texas, so I have the drawl, but I talk fast like a yankee. go figure). I always felt resentful that my parents moved me somewhere with no snow.
Of course, I'm sure you're thinkin' snow is a teeny-tiny bit overrated about now...![]()
Yep, I've seen the warning posters!![]()
How did you narrow it down to 1/32?![]()
pssst...Jordan...can you score me some Scope?"![]()

Dan and Candi are foregoing a Fall 08 trip because no relative can go and help out w/ the new baby.
I originally didn't think I'd be able to go in the fall due to seminary....however, I may not start until January 09.
so now I'd be able to help them out.....
We're not sure but my great grandfather, we think was 1/2. Making my grandmother a 1/4, which makes my dad an 1/8.....oh............I guess that makes me a 1/16......see..atypical Asian here...bad at math....![]()

It was a secret that our grandmother kept from all of us. At her funeral, her SIL comes up to my parents and says "did you know you were part russian?"
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? That explains alot.....my grandma had hazel eyes. my brothers does NOT look full Japanese at all. I had a blond streak when I was small......
Wow, that makes for a fun family gathering!![]()
If you ever want help figuring that out, let me know, geneology is a little hobbie of mine. I wish mine were so easy.......I'm a mutt!
Biff is into that too. He headed up an adoption agency here that helped people search for there biological parents. He helped me find my fathers side in West Virginia. It was a shock to me to find out I am 1/4 Cherokee. Then he likes to look up the geneology to all he meets.![]()
