Can a PTR be therapeutic?YUP!!Addictive?**2/14-I'm home...**

Uh oh!!

Glad it's nothing too serious, even if you did get lots of meds.

Hopefully, you'll be feeling better again soon!!

I'm feeling a bit better already. Not coughing as much. :thumbsup2

Sinus infections are no fun! The second most miserable I've ever been in my life was with a really serious sinus infection (the first was severe food poisoning after a Cancun vacation). Hope you're feeling better soon.

I will say that Mucinex helps a lot w/ the congestion. If you'll take it when you notice that you're starting to feel congested, it can help things not turn into a sinus infection. I just wish they'd call it something else....

Take care of yourself & get some rest!

I think we have some the snot medicine in our house somewhere. I'll have to remember that the next time.

Rest and Christmas program don't get along....

Jordan--at this moment (11:32 pm CST), your pretrippie has exactly 10X more views than my pretrippie! 12,921 to 1,292 (okay, so I dropped the "1" because it's mathematically insignificant.)Uh-oh...I hope my pretrippie doesn't get jealous again...Gee, maybe I should have posted this on MY pretrippie to make it feel better...:upsidedow

I really have a somewhat small following of people who post. I'm sure there are lurkers out there....

If you can get the following users to post in your thread, you're going to get a lot more views. Montana Disney Fan, Trentmom, DisneyDad99, Blue river, Disneyolic, DisneyJo, FauntelroyFan, scottny......Once one of them posts in your thread, you can usually get the rest of them sooner or later. MDF and Fauntelroy post here. They're great guys and funny too....check out their TRs for hours of enjoyment......

WHAT? MORE PEOPLE GOING?

So today I had the chance to talk w/ one our Cast Of Characters going in Feb. Joanne is her name and messing w/ our plans is her game.

So here's what a bit of our conversation was like

Joanne: Hey Jordy, thanks so much for doing all this work for the trip....

Me: No problem.

Joanne: So where are we eating?

Me: We're trying to go to some new places this year...

Joanne: Will it be hard to add my friend and her family to reservations?

Silence

Joanne: I think they will be coming one or two days.

Silence

Joanne: I'm really not sure what days they'll be coming.

Silence

Joanne: One day they'll probably come by themselves and one day they'll probably come with their kids....

Silence

Joanne: Is that going to be a problem?

Silence

Joanne: Jordy?

Silence

Joanne: Jordy?

My roommate gets on phone: Joanne, I don't know what you said, but Jordan just ran out of the house screaming.....Wait...he's tearing his clothes...there's gnashing of teeth.....

Continued in next post......

WHAT? CONTINUED

So after I came back inside, I finished my conversation w/ Joanne; wished her a Merry Xmas and hung up.......

Okay so you know the ADR confusion? Well just multiply that by 100...:scared1:  :headache: :scared:

So now we have a family of four that will be coming to visit from offsite 1 or 2 days. We don't know what days they'll be coming or if they'll all be coming or just the parents....For a person who likes to plan, this lack of solid knowledge is like, it's like...well, you know what it's like......

When I talked to Wendy, we both decided that I would make some ADRs on my own separate from the ones she made for us. I would expect that we would have a better idea of what's going on a few weeks out from our trip. At that time we would be able to consolidate ADRs........

The problem in making additional ADRs is the fact that for any given ADR, I don't know for sure at this time how many people will be eating together. It can be as few as 4 and as many as 14.....What do think the chances of getting an ADR for 14 at Le Cellier are? Okay, you can stop laughing......

I know if I think this through that I can figure something out that is equitable for all involved, but it is past midnight and it's time for me to get to bed.....

Wish me luck................................

Jordan , you have so much more patience and understanding than I do. I would have told Joanne where were were eating on the "one or two days her friends might or might not come, with or without their kids" and let them try to make the reservations.

Seriously, how are you expected to keep up with other people that don't have a clue what they want :confused3? I think I would not have handled it as well as you did.

Wow. You have the patience of Job. I would have laughed silly at the question and then tell her there is no possible way. I guess some people have no clue what it takes to plan ADRs. This trip of yours gets more and more interesting by the minute.popcorn::

I'm not as nice. Want me to call Joanne back for you? I would guess that her friends aren't going to know when they are coming until you get into the 2week window. I'll just tell Joanne that it will be too late (it's already too late) to change/add ADR's. I will then suggest that on whatever nights her friends are there she can opt out of your plans and she can make her own dinner plans with the new friends. I'll let her know that she shouldn't feel bad about stressing you out...and that she's picking up your tab at EPSN club:thumbsup2

I can solve your problem with 1 word jordan.

Meat SLicer

Get yourself a meat slicer.

47 lbs of meat, ranging from A whole turkey, to a pig, and half a cow.

Dont forget 3 lbs of bologna.

A couple of bags of bread, make everyone a sandwich each morning, and you go and enjoy the ADRs you already have, and tell them to enjoy there meat sandwichs.

popcorn::

How about this? On the days that Joannes friends come...how bout you all either go the ESPN Zone for dinner or somewhere that is on the dining plan for you guys but do not neccesarily require reservations. I was going to suggest the Brewery on the Boardwalk (DH claims the cheesecake was the best he's ever had there) it was really good food...did not need a reservation...but I am not seeing it on the dining plan list (it was when we were in Sept---but it may not be for 2008)...could be something to check out.

If not tell Joanne, that her friends could enjoy one of those restuarants while you guys go somewhere else if you cannot get them in...which is probably unlikely.

Yeah, Joanne isn't aware of ADR roulette. So I know it isn't a matter of her being inconsiderate. Just not knowing how hard the whole ADR thing is.

I think I've said somewhere in my PTR that I really don't get mad that often. It's just not in my nature...

Wow comparing me to Job. Sorry don't want boils all over my body any time soon.;)

We'll see how today goes........:confused3

Now THAT"S an idea. I'm surprised MR MEAT himself, MDF, didn't come up with that one.

I seriously laughed hard at this one...thanks...great way to start my day.:thumbsup2

I am in a quandry right now about what exactly is the best for all involved...:confused3

It'll work out in the end. I just hope the drama will be at a minimum......:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I know we'll probably do something like you described.......

I can't believe you hadn't been to a sports bar before...
Check out the College hoops schedule...March Madness maybe going on around the time that you are there.

I'm a football fan - don't care for baseball much, although I'll watch it if it's on, and I was into basketball in high school but not so much anymore. :confused3

I'll pretty much watch any sport on TV if I have the time. Golf...bowling....
