3...2....1
We had a break in the weather today, but it's raining again.
Here' a picture from earlier today:
Coming up on 3 days to go in about 10 minutes......
I spent most of the morning cleaning up our itineraries.......
ADRs
Raise your hands if you thought I was going to change ADRs....
You would be correct.
Here's my jacked up logic.
We had an ADR for CA Grill just Kim and I. While I LOVE this restaurant, I wasn't looking forward to bringing an extra pair of shoes and a pair of nice slacks just for dinner ONE night..
In addition, by giving up our Signature Dinner, we gained one extra TS on the Dining Plan...By adding a TS meal, we are left w/ one extra CS meal. We were going to pay OOP on Sunday night, but now can use one CS credit.
So where are we eating? On Saturday Night we're eating at Chefs de France. Wednesday night was a bit more difficult. Here's my conversation with the Disney Dining CM:
Me: Okay I'd like to make an ADR for Wednesday Night for 2
CM: Okay, where would you like to dine?
Me: I know it's highly unlikely, but can you try Coral Reef?
CM: Nothing available. sorry.
Me: That's okay. Can you try Le Cellier?
CM: <Laughs out loud....hard>
Me: Is that a no? I didn't think there'd be anything available. Just thought I'd give it a shot.
So I made an ADR for Spoodles. I don't really want to eat there, but just made it to have it. When we get there we'll try everyday to see what's available if anything. If we can get into Coral Reef or Le Cellier, we'll switch out Chefs and/or Spoodles.
Going Old School
When Wendy and I first went to WDW in June of 1991, I used Traveler's Checks for the first time. Wendy stopped using them maybe 2 or 3 years ago. I , however, still use them. I don't know. It's not like I love using them, but it's a tradition that's stuck. Vacations don't seem real until I go to the bank to get TCs. However, this may be the last year I use them as tellers at the bank don't really know how to issue them anymore. It took an hour to get them today.
Thank God that's the only tradition that's held on this long or you might've seen me with my moustache and mullet. Yes, laugh all you want...Asian w/ a mullet.
Packing
I've got everything gathered up...I just have a few more items to pack and then I'm good to go...
Weather
According to Weather.com, the weather looks like it'll be good. A few days in the high 70's, a few at about 80 and a few w/ showers in the low 70s. I may get to Typhoon Lagoon this time around.
Although, I wouldn't want the sun to reflect off my pasty white skin as I may burn a few retinas out there.
