Can a dog be this devious?

I don't know, but it sure is funny if she is being devious!

Every morning I give my dogs a pig's ear to keep them occupied. A lot of times, the pup (8 months) will hide hers behind the couch because the big dog can't get back there to steal it. Then she'll go over and try to sniff the big dog's treat for whatever reason, causing all sorts of drama.

This morning I gave them their ears in the kitchen and they ran off with them. A minute later, the puppy came in all sniffing around and was jumping up where I keep the ears, wanting another one. I told her to go get her own, and she went sniffing around again. I helped her look for it and I even rolled the big dog over, thinking she might have been lying on it or something. The pup just went sniffing around all over the place, and couldn't seem to find it.

I went ahead and got her another ear, so she took it and put it on a chair and then immediately went straight for the basement and grabbed her other ear like she knew where it was all along. She carried it into the living room and put it behind my chair, then went and chewed the one she placed on the other chair.

Maybe you had to be there, but I thought it was hilarious! What a sneak! :lmao:

Oh yes, they're devious -- mine will "fake" a squirrel sighting. Run to the window, bark and prance, which draws the other dog to the window -- then race back and take that dog's toy.

My female does this all the time too! After hiding hers she tries to steal his so she can have two. They are so crafty and know exactly what they are doing!:dogdance:

Yep... my Toby will take his treat and lay with it while William inhales his. Once William is done, Toby will take his over and intentionally wave it in front of his face (William is blind) or just lay down right next to William and eat his.... reeeeaaaaalllly slow. He's such an instigator!!!

We were giving the dog her flea and tick medicine once, which she doesn't really like. We give her a few treats during the process to make it go smoother. I started putting the junk on her and dh gave her a treat, she spit it out on the floor. We thought she didn't like it so we gave her one of her 'new' treats, spit that out. We finally finished the process and put her on the floor, she ran over and ate both treats, gave us a dirty look and stalked away :lmao: .

Sounds just like Reilly. If Lauri gives him a treat right before she goes to bed, he'll hide it somewhere in the bedroom. Then when I come in and bring the other dogs with me, he'll run and grab his hidden treat and prance by each of them. shoving it in their faces.

What a brat! :lmao: :lmao:
