My dd13 got a Kindle from us for Christmas. Somehow she bought 3 books from Amazon to be loaded on her Kindle. My Dh must have used the desktop computer to order something from Amazon and stored his credit card info on there, so when she signed onto Amazon to look for books she ordered some. I don't think she knew she was being charged for them.

How do I fix this? He's having a stroke. Please tell me they can be canceled?:surfweb:

Yup, just call Amazon customer service and explain the situation..there's a 7 day return policy on all kindle books.

As you probably have figured out the kindle does an automatic download without a password being required. It will bill to any credit card associated with your account.

We got our twins each a kindle tire for Christmas. The minute they opened it we "educated" them on how the download/billing process works so they wouldn't be accidentally downloading things that were going to be charged to our credit card.

Yes, you can now do it online under the Manage Digital Content page. You have 7 days to return a Kindle book.

OH, thank you guys!

With Kindle purchases being "one click" I messed up and accidentally ordered a $5 book yesterday. I thought i was clicking on it to see it, but I clicked the wrong button and purchased it.

I figured I was out of luck.

I am going to cancel NOW.
