Can 9 year olds and 6 year olds stay together

We are planning a family reunion cruise next April and everyone will be flying in from different areas of the country to be together. My 9 year old DD is so excited to see her cousin who will be age 6 at the time of sailing. Will my 9 year old be able to be in the same "play group" as her 6 year old cousin?? They are both looking forward to spend time together since we live 2,000 miles apart!

The kids clubs will be separated for a 6 and 9 year old, but they will have lots of opportunities for time together. Last cruise, my DD age 11 and her cousin didn't go to the clubs and had a blast.

What other activities did they enjoy together? Did they spend any time in the kids clubs separately?

They did all of the character greeting and picture opportunities together. They did the family dance parties, Mickey Mania, played together all day at Castaway Cay, swam together in the pools, ate lots of ice cream from scoops. They sat together at the shows, and at movies, had dinner together each night. The youngest cousin was a little shy, and didn't go to the club the first night, so she never wanted to go back. This was my DD's 4th DCL cruise, so she was excited to have someone to "show the ropes to" and didn't miss the clubs, so they did nothing with the kids clubs (this was on a 3 night).

Hey tink,

I asked my DD the CM (Youth Counselor in the Club) this question for someone else last week. She said that older "siblings" (relatives probably count) CAN come into the Club with younger siblings. Since the Club age groups are 3-4 and 5-7, the activities might be a little juvenile for a 9 year old but if you check at the desk the CM counselors could help you choose some activities that the older one could participate in with her younger cousin.

Disney's all about helping guests have a Magical experience.
