Hi. I don't really know if this is the right area to ask this question but I will ask anyway. I have read conflicting information all over the web about whether or not five people can rent DVC point stay at a DVC deluxe studio. In our case, our family of five is interested in staying at AKL.

We really want to stay at AKL. But we really don't need a one bedroom villa. We spend the vast majority of our time in the parks or at the pool. Can anyone provide first hand experience or definitive knowledge about whether or not five people are allowed to stay in an AKL deluxe studio? Thanks in advance.

A deluxe studio sleeps 4...Is your youngest under the age of three? If they are then you could stay there as 4 people plus an infant, but if all five of you are three and older then you'll have to stay in one bedroom.

This is correct with one exception - you could rent points to stay in a studio at the Villas at the Grand Floridian if your family of 5 are all over the age of 3. They are more expensive to rent however - they use more points to book there than other studios. I have also heard that the Villas at Wilderness Lodge are being refurbished to hold 5 in a studio at some point - it is 4 plus one under the age of 3 at the present time.

We stayed at a studio last May at Boardwalk. It was a great experience for us, but I could not imagine squeezing five people into that room. It was just me, DH, and our 2 year old DD. Even if DD had been older, it would have probably been too tight for us. It was about the same size as a standard hotel room or maybe a bit smaller. One bed, and one pull out, then a sink area with a small fridge. There was also another smaller couch and the standard table and 2 chairs. With the stroller and our suitcases, there wasn't much extra room. We didn't even use the pullout couch. If we had kept that pulled out, you wouldn't have been able to walk. With have another one on the way now, I think the next time we rent, we will have to go one bedroom.
