Can’t Book Activities in Canada

Does anyone have any info about the IT problems that are not allowing some countries to book activities? You can see all info, but then when click select it just spins and doesn’t go to the next page. They tell me it’s specific to Canada and France and they’re working on it, but no idea when will be fixed. Right now the only way to book is to call and do it over the phone 🤬!
 
I live in Canada and have been so confused why I haven’t been able to select anything! It’s been driving me crazy. I’m sorry I don’t have any info but thanks for posting.
I’d encourage you to call and complain, the more the better. The fact they have no proper answer is unacceptable (and typical Disney IT). You can also email them at dcl.guest.communications@disneycruise.com.
 
Does a VPN help? There are some that give you a certain bandwidth for free like Windscribe. If you activate it you can choose which location you go through and then it appears as if you are located in that place. Do, maybe if you pick a USA location you can get it to work? Unless it’s connected to your booking being in Canadian Dollars…

I always use the WDW website through a VPN as I find the European site to be very glitchy!

Thank you for the advice! It didn’t work 🙁 but Windscribe looks like a great program, I downloaded it and signed up for an account.
 
Do you mean excursions and onboard activities? I added some on Friday and it worked fine then! Also in Canada

Yep. Maybe they fixed it? I still can’t do it, tried my App and Safari (iPhone). They even told me it wasn’t working when I called in. Glad yours is working!
 
I’m also getting this when log in to my account. It won’t go anywhere when click. Anyone else see this? All my info is there though so not sure why it’s asking to connect my account.

I was able to check in 👍🏻👍🏻. They said it shouldn’t impact check in or anything once on the boat and connected to the Wi-Fi.
 
Also in Canada and I have been experiencing the exact same problem and it's driving me crazy!!! I just called DCL and they were super unhelpful and told me there was nothing they could do about it....they even said they couldn't book activities for me over the phone!
Side note - if it is not affecting check in, does that mean we can book Royal Gathering too if it is not resolved? I suspect not...but I really hope so as my daughter would love the Royal Gathering so much - if anyone has any success with that please let me know!

They can book over the phone if you’re in your booking window. I’d call back and connect to the Web team. I’ve booked some on the phone. Royal Gathering is an activity so you’ll need to book this via phone if it’s not working.
 
Fellow Canadian here. For our last Disney Cruise in January 2023, I had success with the App only. The website gave me the spinning whirlpool of doom (even in Incognito).

I'm sailing August and my activities window opened on April 10th, could NEVER get it to work on the website but I got it working just fine in the app (for the most part, sometimes I still get the Blue Wheel of Doom). First time in 11 cruises I've ever had a problem booking activities and excursions, hoping the 30 day check in doesn't give me issues too :scared:

I have a call with DCL on that one that has been escalated. They were not too sure as to why it did not work, working theory being the CDN issue mentioned above

Glad you got it to work! I hope mine gets fixed, I have one opening up later this month. It didn’t work the last week for another cruise I’m on. It didn’t impact check in, so you should be ok. I think April 10 ish was when the problems started, so maybe you got in just in time 👍🏻👍🏻.

Ha ha I have a ticket as well from a call today. They said it had nothing to do with the activities issue though. It’s a new thing where it links to your main account and you can see your Castaway, etc. It’s funny as my wife can connect, but I can’t. Good ‘ol Disney IT 🤣.
