Hi Cam-

Looks like you are doing really well with your marathon training. Way to go!

I hope you get that new clippie soon!!!

Hey Cam!

Stopping by to WISH you a wonderful week! :sunny: Thank you so much for your support! I appreciate you! :goodvibes

Have a marvelous Monday! Keep up the great work with your training! :cheer2:

Hi, guys! Thanks so much for stopping by and providing so much support, Heather, Mike & Tracy! You guys are the best! :grouphug:

I had a stressful weekend and ate everything in sight. Food-wise, it was the worst in months and months. I have never gone over my WW weekly flexpoints since May, I think. But I definitely did this weekend. Not quite sure what was going on. A lot of hunger but mostly just eating whatever I wanted without worrying about budgeting points. I even had a cheeseburger and french fries on Saturday -- a kids meal at DQ, but a cheeseburger and fries, nonetheless. I consoled myself that at least it wasn't a Big Mac and large fries. No excuses. Just bad choices.

cross-posting from the training thread to make a note here of training yesterday:

Hi, everyone!
Just checking in to tell you I had a great LW this morning. All walking except a very short jog (20 secs?) to make up for stopping for a drink.
Here are my splits
mile 1 -- 14:57
mile 2 -- 14:48
mile 3 -- 14:12
mile 4 -- 14:44
mile 5 -- 15:39 (including 2 pauses for drinks)
mile 6 -- 15:14
cool down/recovery .8 miles -- 13:38 (17:03 pace)
After the cool down, I realized I was tired, but not spent, and actually wondered how much further I could have gone. I am pretty confident that at a bit slower pace than the first 4 miles, I really could have kept going for a while.

I had also done 50 minutes at the gym on Friday night, so I have a new November exercise challenge total that makes me feel a little better. 285/1000! Not bad considering it is only the 7th. I am usually scrambling to make up minutes. Am hoping to eat less and keep up the exercise. I should probably try to get as close to my goal as possible as early in the month as possible, since I don't know what I will be up to after my little surgical procedure on the 17th. UGH! speedwalking with stitches on my lower back should be fun! :(

The scale is playing "bounce" again over a 2 pound range, so if I had grabbed my clippie yesterday for 40 pounds, I might have had to give it back today! I'll just wait until my regular WI tomorrow and see where I am.

Work has been crazy -- too many deadlines. More later.

Okay, so I decided not to weigh in this morning. I will tomorrow. My training schedule usually has me doing my long walk on saturday and resting sunday, so since I did the long walk on sunday this week, I gave myself permission to take the rest day yesterday. I'd rather WI tomorrow after a not so bad food day and after I've worked out tonight. Some call it cheating . . . I call it not beating myself up with bad news any more than necessary. :guilty: I will get back to the regular schedule today.

Howard and I went to see "Elizabethtown" last night and really enjoyed it. The reviews weren't great, but we liked it. Having just lost my dad (and mom), it was kind of hard, and I think Howard was a little befuddled by me crying at a lot of odd spots in the movie, but some stuff just hit me pretty hard.

Afterwards (after eating way too much popcorn during the movie), we went to chili's for dinner at 9:45. I KNOW this was a bad idea, and I knew it even then, but when my sweet hubby suggested the sampler appetizer, I caved. Yummy chicken tenders, boneless buffalo wings (I left one on the plate), and southwest eggrolls (my favorite) -- UGH! Not good. :( Then we shared the steak & portabello fajitas. Delicious, but in no way healthy. Yeah, yeah, I can tell myself that at least I didn't eat an entire entree or appetizer myself, but I still know I was off program. I have to get back on track. Not just because of my weight loss plan, but also because my body is extremely unhappy with me these days. A sick tummy does not facilitate a positive attitude or an inclination to work out.

Food so far today:
B: heart healthy oatmeal (3); decaf coffee w/lite creamer (1)
L: WW breakfast sandwich (4); 4 kavli crispbread (2); 5 laughing cow cubes (1); few crackers (1)

Right now the plan is to go for a training walk tonight, but I know once I go to DD's school to deal with colorguard uniforms, I will get sucked into some project and not get out of there. I think I will go to the Y first and then to the school later. And I may even try to eat dinner here before I go or take it with me in the car, so that I don't eat dinner again late tonight.

Plan for the Y: last night's 40 minute walk (on TM-- UGH! BORING!) then tonight's 40 minutes xt (20 minutes bike; 20 minutes elliptical). An hour and a half at the gym -- not sure I am up for it. Will see how it goes.

------------------------------
Went to the gym right from work and did 40 minutes on the TM, 20 minutes on the bike, and 17 minutes on the elliptical trainer.
Dinner was: Italian wedding soup (4); eggbeaters w/fat free cheese over lite english muffins (4); tastes of peanut butter popcorn (2)

I may have a sugar free philly swirl stick, though I havent' decided for sure yet. Am feeling very good about not using all my points tonight. :goodvibes

Well, my out of control eating this past week yielded a 2 pound gain as of this morning. My own fault. Back on track now. Hoping for a better week this week.
Today's food:
B (7:45): 2 lite EMs w/lite ham (5); coffee w/lite creamer (1)
L (1:15): baby carrots (0); 1 c. italian wedding soup (4); 3 kevli flatbreads w/2 cubes laughing cow spread fat free swiss (2)
S: pretzel sticks (2); lite string cheese (1)

ETA: I realized this morning that I have been so focused on training for the WDW 1/2 marathon that I haven't really focused on planning our trip. We have done all the necessary things, like book the accomodations and airfare and car rental and made a couple of ADRs, but nothing beyond that. :confused3 Heck, until I saw something in agotta's siggie this morning with a link to park hours (Thanks, Amanda!) , I hadn't begun to think about planning our parks schedule yet. That part of the process is usually so much fun for me and so energizing. :Pinkbounc I am going to start planning the non-marathon part of our trip, and I think that will help my attitude and motivation a lot. :teeth:

-------------------------------------------------------
Today is a rest day on my training plan, and I have a meeting tonight, so I really won't fit in a workout, but MAN!!! I am hungry! I just added a lite string cheese to my food list as a snack and I'm hoping that will curb my hunger. I'll pick at cauliflower poppers when I get home while I am cooking something for dinner. I am determined not to go over points today.

I didn't end up eating the string cheese. But came home and had lots of protein and then a treat of 2 mini peanut chews and some pretzels. Finished the day with .5 point left. Off to bed now so I don't eat anything else.

Planning the DIsney days is so much fun! I can't wait to plan our next trip.

Hi, Beth! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Well, I did grab a few chips last night before bed. I don't know what it is with me, but I always seem to need to end the night with something salty, especially if I've had something sweet.

Today's food:
B: apple (1); coffee w/sugar free creamer (0); 2 slices WW whole grain bread (1); 2 thin slices light ham & 1 cube laughing cow light spread cheese (.5); fiber yogurt w/bit of kashi (1)
S (11:45): pretzel crisps & lite string cheese (3)
L (1:45): "free" salad w/feta (2); diet soda (0)
S (off and on through afternoon): soy crisps, pretzel chips (1.5)

------------------------
I ate my apple at about 8:15 and the rest of my breakfast at about 8:45. Here it is 11:25 and I am starving! Well, not really. . . Just very very hungry and my tummy is embaressingly loud! Will try a lite cheese stick and some crackers and see how that holds me.
It's 2:45 and I am feeling very full. Good. Also, bought a powerbar for tonight before my workout. Hoping it will do 2 things: give me energy for my workout and keep me from being outrageously hungry by the time I get home around 9 or 9:15. Now, I just have to remember to eat it and at the right time.

Wow you're doing great with the exercise! Keep up the good work. Have a good weekend, I bet you're really looking forward to WDW! I know I would be.

:sunny:

Thanks, Jen & Kate! Planning the trip is awesome. I feel like our lives will be a little calmer after DD17's band championships this weekend and DS12's school play next weekend. Then I can really focus on the trip!

Did my training session tonight at the shopping center fountain walk. It was sooo cold and windy that the fountain water was blowing across the walking path. Did 40 minutes then 30second/1minute speed drills x4. My 40 minutes was 2.69 miles and pace of 14:52. Speed drills were .41 miles with average pace 14:47. Overall, with cool down, 3.17 miles and average pace of 14:54/mile.

Morning Cam!! Just wanted to pop into your Journal to cheer you on. Today is going to be great! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Thanks, Amanda! How sweet of you! I am very excited that it is Friday!

There is so much interestng stuff going on this weekend:
Today DS12 goes for his first orthodontist appointment. Then I am shopping at the farmer's market for stuff to make chicken apple corn chowder for tomorrow. Then shopping for a fanny pack & water bottle to use on my long training walks to get used to it before the 1/2. Then home to do get the chowder started, do some cross-training (just got "the FIRM fanny blaster" set) so I can finally use the firm tapes I got that use those step thingies. Then at 9pm "Three Wishes" and then early to bed to prepare for tomorrow.

Saturday a.m -- 7 mile + long walk, breakfast, football game, then on the move with the marching band to Atlantic Coast Championships. I am so proud of them -- they are ranked 22nd in 9 states for their Group (band size)! Hoping they have an amazing show tomorrow. We are doing a huge tailgate party for them (including my now-famous chicken apple corn chowder). Expected home by 2:30 am

Sunday am -- DS12 is singing at Memorial Mass (hope I can hold myself together), then I'll come in to work for a few hours, then cross-country end of season party (DS12's team won the championship), then he has play practice until 9:30.

Monday morning will come all too soon. I am not going to worry about food too much this weekend. Or at least not tomorrow. Tonight and Sunday should be controllable but Saturday I'll be more relaxed about it. Besides, 2 hours of exercise (including stretching) should give me some good APs.

Hoping all my WISH buddies have a great weekend. I may not be around here much, but your support will be carrying me through the weekend! :lovestruc

Food today:
B: (at 8:15) -- 2 slices weight watchers whole grain bread (1) with reduced fat peanut butter (2) and banana (1); coffee w/light creamer (.5)

Hi Cam!!!

Sorry I have been missing! Sounds like you have certainly had a lot going on. Sooo proud of your training for the marathon. Seems like it is going very well! I can't wait for that trip report!!! :) I hope that you can find some time for that trip planning, it's the best part!! :) I'll be thinking about you this weekend, especially Sunday morning. I hope that in the chaos of all you are doing you get to relax for a few minutes at some point!

Have a great day!
Mike :)

Whew you made me tired just getting caught up!!!!! You are a busy women!!!!! You are doing such a great job with the Marathon!!!! Keep it up.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend, take some time for you and relax!!

Thanks, Mike and Jamie! I really appreciate the support.

I left work at noon yesterday because my migraine was so bad. And it kept me up all night. When the alarm went off this morning I was so tempted to stay in bed. DH suggested I skip my long walk this morning. I was scheduled for 7 on my revised schedule (moved stuff around so I wouldn't have to do 7 next week 2 days after getting my stitches in). I forced myself to go and am glad I did. Considering the migraine and lack of sleep and using a fanny pack for the first time with a powerade bottle and cell phone, and considering the bitter cold, my splits weren't too bad overall 7.2 miles in 1:51:13 for a pace of 15:27):
mile 1--15:39
mile 2--15:18
mile 3--15:02
mile 4--15:29
mile 5--15:19
mile 6--15:33
mile 7--15:22

Whohooo Cam!! Good for you getting up and fighting that migraine!! I know how hard it is. Up until a month ago I was getting horrible migraines 3-4 times a week. Thanks to the doctor I have only had them once a week and not anywhere nearly as bad. Have a great weekend!!

Wow cam! So proud of you for walking your way through that nasty migraine!!! :) Oh, and i love the marathon clippie you all are sporting now!

Hope that the rest of your weekend is peaceful!
Mike :goodvibes
