I'm so excited I can book our vacation online for 2011 now!!

Question: Difference between Full hook up, preferred, and premium? Is it just the size? We'll be buying a 25' HTT with a slideout and side bunk end. Which site would you recommend?

Full hook-up and preferred are basically the same except for location. Preferred, 100,200 & 300(pet) are near the Marina and the Settlement trading post. Full hook-ups are closer to the entrance to the Fort. They, FH & PRFRD, have concrete pads and a conquina (sand and ground shell) pad for a tent or screen room etc.

The premium sites have extra large concrete pads, almost no conquina pad and in most cases larger entrance drives. Also they have upgraded picnic tables and grills (little fancier). All Premium, preferred and full have W,E,S & cable.

If you are good "backers" you should do fine on preferred or full, if you want the larger pad and no conquina then go premium.

Hope that helps.

Just make sure that you get a sight with full hook up because the Fort has no dump station.

We usually get a full or preferred site. We have a popup with a cassette toilet. I realized that I can save $150 on our next trip if we get a partial hookup site - BUT, we'll need to empty the toilet at some point. I have read that I can call the Fort desk and they will direct me to an empty site to empty the cassette into the sewer (and grey water) but is this weird to do? DH said it's fine and he'll load it onto the golf cart and drive to the appropriate site for dumping - just want to make sure we won't look too weird doing this - other people do this too right? :confused3 And if DH is driving the golf cart - I assume I'll be the one holding the container of crap (literally):rotfl2::rotfl2: Hey $150 can buy alot of Mickey Ice Cream Bars!:thumbsup2

Thank you! I'm still finding sand and shell in my pop up from our 07 trip.

Isn't that part of the Fort experience:confused3
I just leave it in the front door steps as a pleasant reminder of our last trip to the fort:cloud9:

I don't think that anyone will even notice unless you bring the whole throne along with you... :lmao:

Wow, that is a lot of info right there  ! While I do keep a cassette toilet in the pop-up for the occaisonal midnight emergency, I do my very best to direct my little ones to the comfort stations and provide lots of pre-bed time opportunities. Just my own comfort zone I guess....then again, I'm likely to be the one with the 'container' on my lap too. Pray that DH avoids any potholes or bumps.
