Sorry if this is a repeat question...I tried to do a seach and couldn't find what I was looking for. Can you tell me what time check in is for the campsites...is it 3:00 just like the cabins ?? THANK YOU. We are headed down there from Michigan for Easter break and I am trying to figure out where to stop for 2 nights along the way. I want to make sure we are there at check in so we can get the most out of our first day !!

Check in is at 1:00, and they will let you go to your campsite if it is ready. They get the campsites ready fast. Men are driving around the loops and jump on one as soon as it is emptied. They blow off the concrete pad, sweep (rake) the sand part, clean out the grill. And then wash off the concrete pad.

Takes about 30 minutes. So they get the sites ready fast.

If you get there early, you can park in the overflow lot and go about your day, then get to your site later, if it isn't ready when you get there.

Of our 10 or so trips, only one has waited til 1 to get our site.

In order for us to get the most out of our first day, we plan on arriving by 8:00AM or a little earlier. We check-in and if our site is ready we go to it and set up and start our stay. If the site is not ready, we park in the big overflow lot and leave the RV there and start our day going where-ever. I call the number that is given to check if our site is ready about every 1/2hour.

This has worked great for our 40+ stays at FW the last 5 years.

Hello fellow Michigander. We are going to be there over spring break, too. We are spending the first night in Nashville and the second near Tallahassee. Can't hardly wait. :cloud9:

In December we arrived early, expecting to spend several hours in the overflow lot. We were on our site by 8:30. Overnighted at the Flying J in St. Augustine. Was an easy drive to FW the next morning.

Cool....what part of Mi are are in ?? We are in Howell, about 30 minutes north or Ann Arbor. I noticed you also have a new motorhome...what kind do you have and what loop did you request ?? Maybe we will run into each other. We have a Winnebago and requested loop 1300.

You must be taking a different route than we will....we will take I-75 and I don't think we run anywhere near Nashville.

We are near Jackson. Just bought a '06 Fleetwood Expedition last spring. I didn't request any loop, just preferred, we stayed in the 1300 loop in '04 with our fifth wheel, had a little trouble getting into the site but were fine once we were in. Taking I-69 to I-65 all the way to Montgomery, AL. Then across US-231 to I-10 to I-75. NO WAY am I going through Cincinnati or Atlanta. :scared1: We'll look for you.
