I know..a dead horse and all that. Just thought some of you might want to share your thoughts. Thread could use a bit more campground representation. Help...I'm drowning

Okay..maybe a little over the top with that ..but what can I say...It's Fourth of July..all my kids are either working or out..and it's Bob and I..and he's sleeping on the couch....through the fireworks outside.

So...where am I?...Checking in here of course!

Sonya- We were over there all day & just got home. This morning there were quite a few empty sites, but by this afternoon, most were filled up. We didn't go "looping" after the fireworks cause it was too crazy with people, so I don't know how many sites were vacant at 10pm. It was a trick just getting our truck & trailer w/cart out of the overflow parking lot! It took us +/-15 minutes once we loaded up the cart just to get out of the lot!!

My two cents is in too... although I probably should have waited until I had a little less "4th of July" cheer in me... but oh well!

The people who would rent a site and not occupy it are the same kind of people that would take a handout at a soup kitchen while their fridge at home was stocked FULL from the local food pantry! It is all about getting it for themselves, and forget who they kept it from!

It irks me to no end.

Last year I had a mom at my school suggest the same thing to me, and I was like, it's not something you should do, and they said but I can do it right?

I haven't even stayed at the Fort yet, but just being a camper, I had to add to the "discussion". And yes, it would bother me alot if I couldn't get a site just because someone decided to play the system to save a few bucks.

I added my 2 cents, too. Auntie, you were great! I still don't think they understood the fact that there is only ONE CAMPGROUND and like 18 HOTELS. If Pop is full, chances are you'd still be able to get a ressie at ONE of the All Stars. When the Fort is full, you're SOL. I don't think the concept requires one to be a rocket scientist. Or is it possible that I have just realized my genius....?

I don't get the lack of simple morals . The "theft" response was interpreted to benefit the thief. It is steeling. Yes you would "purchase" the site for the allotted time but the theft takes place in the deception toward WDW to get the perks. It is wrong to deceive and when one does this, isn't it a deception to obtain "goods"? Oh I could go on....Doesn't the commercial say when you stay and play on Disney property, not fake a stay?

I’m not a “camper” person myself but I can understand your frustration.

I would love to see this “abusing” to be penalized by controlling the campground.

Second day no one there? No problem just block the KTTW cards.
Problem solved.
