Camping Options- Just in Case with New Baby

We would like to camp at Ft Wilderness in June but will have a new(er) baby with us. The package seems to be the best with the dining plan and tickets and campsite all together. What happens if we reserve for 6 nights, are able to make it through 3 but not the other 3? We have some relatives in town who we could stay with if we have to. But what happens to our tickets and then our dining plans- would they still be good? Any advice would be appreciated.

Disney is famous for working with their guests, no matter what the issue. I'm sure that if need be, they would help you out! However, as an experienced baby camper, I think you will be fine! How old will your little one be? Will you be tent camping? We always took a pack n play and set it up in the tent. Also, bring your stroller. Babies can sleep anywhere, especially as parents stroll around the countries in Epcot! Now don't expect everybody to stay sparkling clean or anything! As long as you relax, don't try to do everything, and listen to your little one's ques, you will have a wonderful time!

I agree with the advise above. I'm a mom of 3 and have taken my youngest at 8 months. She was fine and actually much easier than the 3 year old! Since its HOT in June, if you have an air conditioned enviroment to sleep and rest in, that would definitely be the most comfortable!! Relax and have fun! The baby will love it and so will you!

We plan on bringing Reilly to the Fort for Halloween this year, so he'll be only about 6 months old at the time. I'm sure if you have any problems Disney will be happy to work with you to solve them.

Is 6 months to young to let him drive the cart?

We'll be tenting it. Hopefully, will be a very relaxed and laid back baby!

I don't mean to rain on your parade but you might want to consider:

* that it will be June, and therefore very hot in a tent. Babies aren't always very good at regulating their temperature so sleeping at night may be a problem if he/she is uncomfortable. Daytime should be fairly easy with slings/stroller.

* You can't use suntan lotion until they are 6 months old so you need to have either UV shirts or some very tight knit long sleeved shirts and pants. Sunburn on a baby can be really nasty,

And also, you need to assess what you can accomplish at Disney on a broken night's sleep. You may luck out and Jr will sleep through early (my eldest was 8 weeks) but you might not and you'll be up still! My middle son was 6 months old so I'm telling #3 he needs to get his act together pretty soon as Momma is running out of 'newborn adrenaline'.

We're taking our youngest of 3 in 3 weeks, but we have a travel trailer and he'll be 6 months old.

You can do it, just be prepared!!

Camping in Florida in June is HOT. Night time is really not much relief either. It is usually in the high 70's and still humid (and it doesn't get into the 70's until about 2 or 3 in the morning). Some folks have put an air conditioner in their tent. I have read about this on this board, it might something you can look into.

I'm pretty sure you have to wait until their 18 months!
