Camping in the Rain?

Hi! We are tent camping at FW in 3 weeks and I'm
afraid of the weather...has anyone tent camped
in the heavy central florida downstorms before??

Hi Kathy. Although the storms can be severe at times, they occur mostly in the afternoon, in the hot summer days. By Nov. it's usally calm. we've tent camped at FW for years during the months of Nov. and Dec. an dhave never been in a heavy thunderstorm. But! in July we were in a few that were a little loud and frightening to the little ones, but they blew over pretty fast.
