Hey there....planning a possible trip to Disney in early June. We're coming from Texas so not afraid of the heat.....just curious about rain...

Kids get out of school early here and we have to deliver them to their mom for the summer.....thought it would be a nice time for a family vacation and you can't beat the price of camping! :)

Any thoughts? We're thinking first week of June 5th or so for 3 nights....

Should be no problem We will also be there starting the 5th. Have been going in June for years.

We go mid to late June. Just remember it usual rains around 3 and is done in 30 minutes to 1.5 hours.
Everyone leaves the parks, it cools down, all good things.
It's just rain. Have fun with it.
Remember your at Disney and the Fort. Have fun :cool1:

Yeah, you are right on the cusp of summer weather there. We've been over Memorial Day week and that time is not quite daily thunder boomers but there were a few during our week.

So if you are confident in your camping abilities, ready to roll the dice, or plan to stretch the massive blue tarp over the top of your tent, I say go for it.

:thumbsup2

PS - leave a day or two to enjoy the Fort itself. They have kid programs (for little or no cost) around the main pool area daily plus the campfire, sing-a-long, movie, etc.

We were there in late may/early June last year. Like everyone said, typical FL rain shower/thunderstorm during the day.

That being said...if you have dining reservations and need to be somewhere, you might be late. Rain/thunderstorms caught us off guard a couple days and we were late for two dining ressies but still got seated. Just makes it hard to run from the front of Epcot to the back where most of the restaurants are without arriving and looking like a drowned rat! :goodvibes

You are IMO going to have one heck of a time getting a ressie on this short of notice for something in the summer which is now only like 160 days out. We booked 500 days for our last stay in Oct-Dec 2010 and still have a few hiccups in dates and availability. I would be trying to make ressies now and then decide once you get something.

I would have thought the same thing, but last week we asked some friends if they wanted to pull their camper off the lake lot and join us. We are there 5-28 to 6-5... I put the dates in the reservation web site and had a premium or preferred site to pick from. Guess the economy isn't recovering as well as the media puts on.
