Camping Dates??

I know I haven't been on since, well...seems like forever, but have we quit posting dates that we'll be there. I see that the sticky is still locked and unusable! - Glad to see some things haven't changed!


I'm trying to get dates for 3/26-3/29 or 3/30...
I've been manipulating dates like a crazy person over here...

Does anyone know of someone that is not able to keep their reservation for that time frame... I'm hoping there is still some kind of hope here...

wow,,you certainly didnt give yourself much time to get ressies. The problem is "spring break".
You most likely know this already, but,
I would try to call reservations VERY FIRST THING they open in the mornings EVERYDAY, and thru out the day (if you can).
And if the dates you want are only a couple of days then you might try adding a week or so onto your dates. (for some reason they sometimes have dates available for longer ressies ) and then a day or so later cancel the days of the ressie that you dont want.

Spring Break must run into late April this year, I tried to book St. Joseph in Panama City Beach for last weekend in April, totally booked.

I agree......keep trying everyday, and call as much as possible. I did that last year when my DH decided at the last minute he wanted to go for the 4th of
July. We got reservations the week before we wanted to check in. I tried everything and when I finally was able to get dates, they were for like 2 weeks time; I questioned the CM why it would not show just those few days we wanted, and he told me they hold so many spots for people who are booking for a month or so. It would not even let him book our dates, so he had to go in manually (over-ride the system) and make our reservation. He said if those days were not booked already they weren't going to book.

Carols right...the CAMPING DATES thread was locked on day one....its the LINK on the thread that you use to post your dates.....but Im not sure how often people use it anymore!

Persistence will usually pay off. I have also found to try multiple ways; ie. telephone & internet as sometimes the two don't always agree.

Last March we wanted to stay an extra night so I kept going up to the front to inquire but was told no. I also searched online but nothing. I finally just tried calling one day on my way back from they front where they said no and the cm on the phone said no problem. Never give up!! Unless your arrival date was yesterday...

I always thought it was funny how they wouldn't have the 3 days we wanted, but if i asked for 7, TA DA...they had it!

I'll keep on trying, 'cause I'm persistent like that! lol

Wow! I wish I was done May 5!!! Of course I teach public school and our spring break is next week and we are done for the year May 28. Well the kids are done! I have inservice June 2 and 3 as well as some other times during the summer!! They wanted me to go to Austin for curriculum inservice right smack dab in the middle of my vacation to FW/DW! Said SORRRRYYY- I'm going to Disney World!!! We are going June 21-27!!!

Imagine the nerve of people wanting to interrupt my vacation with some silly inservice!!!!!

I have to cancel our reservation for 3/27 to 4/3, do you need extra days?

We'll look for you, we'll be in a Full Hook Up spot. I think 1700 - 1900
Look for a dashboard full of characters and a real Cocker in a Daybreak and a Dis Board sign saying " The Duarte's and Vera's " This is my 2 yo DGS first visit so we may be spending more time at the fort.
