Camping at Pokagon

Hi all! I have not been camping since I was a little girl! My DBF and I are planning on going camping and he wants to go to Pokagon. I've never been there but he's been when he was younger with his parents. I guess I'm just looking for opinions on Pokagon, what there is to do there, best time to go, etc. Any general camping advice would be greatly appreciated, too! TIA!

For a few years after our marriage we camped there every Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day with a few other couples/families. We would get 3 or 4 primitive sites together. We stopped going and since then they have refigured their sites so they are bigger, but there are fewer of them now. Actually we have friends who went there 3 or 4 times a year (now with their 5th wheel, forget primitive LOL) and have started going elsewhere because they said it was going downhill.

Rock'n Robin~Thank you for telling me about your/your friends' experience. That's too bad about it going downhill. Like I said, DBF wants to go there since he was there when he was younger and remembers it fondly. I hope it doesn't turn out to be a dissapointment.
