Campground suggestions for the long drive?

We will be traveling to Disneyworld soon and would like some campground
suggestions for an overnight stay. We will be driving from Louisiana and
will make the trip there in one day. But, we might want to break the drive
up into two days on the way home.

What campgrounds would you suggest that are near I-10 from the FL/AL line to
Tallahassee? I would like to have several options available so that we can
stop when we get tired.

I don't know specifically, but if you go to KOA.com, there are many KOA Kampgrounds along I-10 in Florida and Alabama.

That will give you a good idea.

Falling Waters State Park near Chipley. Has a nice small campground. There are a lot of sinkholes in the park...one which has the largest waterfall in Florida. This park is not too far from the interstate, but it feels very remote.

Also suggest Florida Caverns State park in Marianna.

Florida's state parks are maintained to appear as natural as possible, so if you're into nature, these can be quite interesting to visit.

Welcome to the DIS! This is the greatest palce to get good information on WDW and FW.

We are from Louisiana also. We generally make it in one day also but several times we stoped overnight at the KOA in Tallahasse. It's right off of I-10. In fact you can see it from I-10. Very nice and very clean.

We stayed at the KOA off of I-10, too. It was fine for an over-night. Easy in, easy out.

Thanks for the info! I have reservations for the KOA near Tallahassee for the drive there. For the drive home we'll play it by ear. We might try the Florida Caverns State Park.
