Do we need to bring our own sticks to roast our marshmallows at the campfire, or does Disney provide those?

I would like to know the same thing? Do you have to bring your own marshmellows as well (I was assuming that you would)?

Thanks!!

You must either bring your own supplies, or purchase them at the Meadows Trading Post. ::MickeyMo

As FtwildernessGuy said, you can bring your own which we do, or you can buy them. I am not sure the trading post actually has the cheaper wooden sticks (I think they have nicer metal ones) but there is a snack bar (chuckwagon) at the campfire which sells SMORES kits which include marshmellows, chocolate and two wooden sticks. The price for this is actually reasonable but I don't remember the exact amount (a few dollars).

Here is a price list. 2004 prices

Does anyone know if you can just buy a roasting stick and if so how much? I also have one more question have you ever seen someone roasting hotdogs instead?

Thanks
Melinda

Yes, They do sell just the sticks for .35 each. I have seen people cooking hot dogs and using the sandwich Irons although I think there are too many kids around to safely use the sandwich irons.

We do most of our roasting and smore making at camp in the grill where there is not so much competition for the fire. Not to mention less flying flaming marshmallow hazards. Please teach your kids not to wave the stick to try and put out the flaming marshmallow! :earboy2:

We had some of the metal sticks, but I really don't like seeing those running around, either. I always get the dowel rods in the art department at WalMart. We buy them by the dozen and just toss them in the fire when we have used them. They are pretty cheap at Wallyworld!
