We have ressies for HDDMR at 5:00 on 10/30. Can we bust a move over to the campfire in time to see C&D?

Thanks!

That's what we'll be trying to do this Saturday night. Can't remember when the campfire stuff starts, but I figure it will be enough time. Are you staying at the Fort? If so, you can pick up the time of C&D when you check in or someone here might know exactly when the festivities start.

When we were there last week the fires were lit at 7:30, sing-a-long started at 8:00 and movie at 8:40.

We're not staying at the Fort (we SO want to tent camp there sometime, but I need to work on the logistics of getting all our camping gear from MN to FL - hopefully next year).

Can we walk from HDDMR to the campfire site?

How long is HDDMR? I thought I read it's about 2 hours? If so, that should give us plenty of time to get to the campfire, yes?

When do Chip and Dale show up? Sometime during the sing-along?

It's a LONG walk from the HDDR to the campfire. It can be done, but I wouldn't risk it if you want to see everything. I've never taken the internal bus trans within the Fort, but I'm sure there's one that takes you from the marina area to the campfire area. We always have a golf cart. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will respond.

When you come out of HDDR go to the right to the bus stop. Catch either an Orange or Yellow and get off either by the Meadows Trading Post (Orange bus) or by the pool (Yellow Bus). Time wise you should be good.

Thank you SO much!

One last question...someone mentioned the Headless Horseman will be there on 10/30. True? Does that mean Chip and Dale won't be there?

Thanks again!

Can't address the HH question but I should have mentioned that the Yellow bus would be my preferred choice.

OK, everybody stand back for a second, and let me help out.

First, no move busting will be required on 10/30.

At all.

You will be out of the 5:00 HDDR by no later than 6:45. The last guest will be chased out of there by then, because they need to get ready for the 7:15 seating.

The campfire on 10/30 does not begin until 8.

You will have plenty of time.

If it is nice, skip the bus and walk.

It isn't that far.

I'll show you.

Second, you are in luck. The Headless Horseman is, indeed, going to visit the campfire on 10/30. And Chip and Dale will be there too. It says so right here:

I will also add that C & D will probably be wearing their Halloween costumes.

And, there are even going to be special surprises!!

Not even I know what they are!

You might wonder at this point whether the added hoopla will draw a crowd to the campfire program on this Saturday night.

That would be a big yes.

So, I would plan on arriving early. Like maybe plan on getting there by 7:30.

If the evening in nice, and you are up for a stroll, here's a little map showing the way:

Along the way, you will walk past the 400 loop. There will be some nicely decorated campsites there, and also in the 700 loop, which you will pass. This would be way more fun than riding the bus.

But, it looks like a far walk, right?

Look at that little measurement box in the upper right corner of the map.

Now, let me ask you this:

Have you ever walked from the MK entrance to Space Mountain?

How long does that take?

Well, look at this map:

See the little measurement box?

Have you ever taken the bus back to Space Mountain?

Then you could skip the bus at FW.

And a walk would be nice after your feast at the HDDR.

If you really want to take the bus, you can. You will have plenty of time. Just do what the previous posters already said- go to the Settlement Bus Stop and take an Orange or Yellow bus. Tell the bus driver you are going to the campfire- and he or she will get you there.

But if I were you, I would walk.

A walk would be much nicer than a ride.

Have fun!

If you do take a yellow bus get off at the stop for the 1400 loop. Walk into the loop and go left towards the comfort station. There is a walkway that runs along the right side of the comfort station that comes out at the outdoor theater.
