Does any one store their Rv during the winter to get more use out of it during the winter, and where do you store it? We live in Northeast Pa, and the snow and ice can be deadly when driving, so we were looking for next winter.
Even if we stored it between our Thanksgiving trip and Christmas, we'd at least get down to the Fort at Christmas!:goodvibes Thanks!

I live near Allentown, so we probably don't get the volume of snow you do, but I just winterize my TT and cover it with an ADCO cover. It has zippered access on the side with the door, so I can get in if I have to. I have done this for the past 7 years with no damage from ice or snow.

I live even further south but since we try to go the Fort in January, it's still a gamble with weather. NC likes to get ice more than snow and 1/8" of that screws everything up. But I just winterize mine and cover it like ftwildernessguy said. If it's too cold the week before we go to the Fort, I won't de-winterize it until we get to the Fort. Then depending on temps. at home, I'll either winterize it at the Fort or after I get home. Winterizing only takes a few gallons of RV antifreeze and that's far cheaper than paying to have it stored somewhere.

By the way, if they're predicting snow or something for when we're supposed to leave, we'll most likely just head down early and stay somewhere until our arrival date. I'll make up any excuse to go down there earlier.:thumbsup2

Can't really help you ..but thought it was an interesting topic. We also have wondered about storing our unit somewhere further south so as to have more use of it during the winter months..without having to trailer it through ice or snow.

Our popup is stored in Winter Garden which is only about a 20 minute drive to WDW and 30 minutes to FW. I had towed it 1300 miles one way several times with just myself and kids. I decided it would easier, but more expensive, to just store it there. The business is called Boat/Auto/RV Storage or something similar. I still haven't figured out how to fly down and use the camper at FW. Rental car companies won't let you tow a trailer...
