My DH and I are counting down the days till we head to FW. (There are 70... in case you were wondering.) This is our first trip to WDW and we aret excited to be camping at FW... We bought the Water Park option with our tickets and have a Tues, Wed, and Sat night available. We want to use one of those nights to check out Pleasure Island. What are your opinions about Pleasure Island in general, and which would be our best night.
Thanks!!!

Pleasure Island is good any night. We hit DTD and Pleasure Island after the parks close. We found the best time to go was the days we went to Anamial Kingdom as it closes the earliest.

Pleasure Island is a lot of fun!! :cool1:

We love the Comedy Club, and my favorite music is at the R&R Beach Club. :goodvibes

It's spendy though -- drinks aren't cheap. But, you are allowed to bring your drink with you between the different clubs.

P.I. is a lot of fun! My favorite is the Adventurer's Club. The shows are pure "corn", but the Kungaloosh is great! Rumor has it that FtWGuy's Kungaloosh is better, though!

A great place to eat at DTD is the House of Blues. :thumbsup2

Take lotsa $$$ if you plan on having adult beverages.

My recipe is an improvement on the Adventurer's club Kungaloosh, and, IMHO, is far superior.

What the heck is this KUNGALOOSH that you guys are talking about?:grouphug:

Asking that question could get you kicked off this board.:lmao:
Just ask for the directions on how to make it then you will be accepted.:thumbsup2 Oh and tell them you drink alot.:rotfl:

Since the search is broke, it is acceptable to not know what kungaloosh is!! But if you want to hang out here, you at least need to know the basics of alcohol consumption, you don't have to do it, just be able to converse with the rest of us :lmao:.

Kungaloosh is a frozen drink that first appeared at the adventurers club on PI. It has been adopted by this group as the official adult beverage of the fort fiends.

The recipe as I recall:

1/4 cup of Capt Morgans spiced Rum
1/4 cup of Black Berry brandy
1/4 cup of orange juice
1/2 cup of Dailys straberry mix
enough ice to make it slushy, Mix it in a blender.
Enjoy.

We just finished packing the alcohol in the tt, the self serve kungaloosh table should be up and running by 3pm monday.

Oh, yea, well of COURSE I knew that... :scared: Just testing you to make sure you had the right answer... yea, that's it...:worship:

Adventurer's Club is a great place to hang out at PI!! The cast is great and you must attend the Balderdash Cup (about 9:20 pm).

Comedy Warehouse is great also!! I've only poked my head into the other clubs, so don't know much about them.

I wish I was going to be there to help you finish those off.......

Pleasure Island is a lot of fun (not as much fun as it used to be though :( ). Our new favorite there is Raglan Road, it's without a doubt a "can't miss" stop on almost all our trips now.

If you like scallops, try out there Scallops On A Fork. It is soooooooooooo good.

P.S. Not sure if you guys noticed this, but they closed the Rock and Roll Beach Club permanently on February 3rd. It is no longer one of the clubs you can go to, I've heard rumours of them putting a bowling alley in it's place (but it seems Pleasure Island changes on an almost yearly basis).

So no more Rock and Roll Beach Club :( I spent plenty of time there in my early twenties, some crazy memories. Sad to see it go, it was the only place remaining that actually had live bands.

Great! Now I want some Kungaloosh and scallops! Where am I going to get those?

FWGuy's modification - use 1/4 cup of the Daiquiri mix. 1/2 cup is too sweet, and it makes the recipe easier to remember, which is really important on a Saturday night

:worship::worship::worship::worship::worship: All hail the great and powerful fwGuy. I would never challenge your expert opinion!! I was quoting from memory, in my defense, I am usually feeling no pain when I am mixing them.

:sad1: Sorry to hear about R&R BEACH CLUB. seems like they take away everything I like there allways loved the neon armadillo & whitehorse solonoon they allso took out some shoping and the hot dog co. on the hill. if the comedy club goes there's nothing left for me.:headache:

Sorry Rhonda, I had some great times there too, I just don't think it drew much of a crowd anymore :(

And I wouldn't worry about the comedy club, it's one of (if not the) most popular places in Pleasure Island, I don't see it going anywhere.
