We are at the very early stages of considering a combo vacation of camping at Fort Wilderness in our motorhome and then doing a Disney Cruise. I have read scattered rumors that you can, perhaps, leave your RV at the Fort in the "overflow parking" lot and take the DCL shuttle. Has anyone here been granted permission to do that, and if so, who did you have to talk to. We are FW veterans, but DCL newbies.

No answer for your question, sorry, but nice to see you back!! :)

Have a great cruise!

Are you sure you have never been on a DCL cruise? This was taken on the Dream back in June. :rolleyes1 Sorry can't answer your question, but you will LOVE your Disney cruise. It may be your first but I can assure you it won't be your last, they are amazing.

Cousin Fred! I haven't seen him in FOREVER!

Shannon,

Here is a recent thread http://www.disboards.com/threads/if...k-in-the-overflow-area.3386326/#post-53317827 where this topic was brought up. Sounds like (according to post #17) as long as your Fort stay is PRIOR to the cruise, you should be okay. Of course, that's assuming space is available in the overflow, etc. during a non-slammed time at the Fort.

This time of year, are you still doing the Shanta-Claus work?

Bama Ed

PS - I went on a cruise once. I won it so me and DW went on it. It was okay but not our cup of tea. We prefer the lazy, Fort-like vacations on land more.

Thanks Ed, I didn't find that one in my search. As for Santa, my season is just starting in earnest. If we ever do this, it'd be next Fall at earliest. Just trying to think through how we might make it work. Thanks again!
