so i recently found out the a few diser's a send in a resume for camp rock 2

what is a ced?

so come let's discuss it :0

hey, well I've been sending resumes and headshots to places for casting, for about 1/2 a year now. no luck yet but I'm hoping to score either camp rock 2 or the new ashley tisdale show.

well, what you really need to do is get an agent. I plan on getting one soon, but I have to wait a bit. But what you do in the mean time is research for casting calls, places you can send a headshot and resume. This site is usually really good and lists a lot of disney auditions>>http://actinginfo.blogspot.com/
and you can always just do a google, yahoo, or any other search for open casting calls or places you can send things to.

that's another thing, you should really have a headshot and resume ready to go out at anytime so you can jump on opportunities! Usually they're done professionally at a photo studio, but frankly you could probably have your parents take a nice picture of you with a blank background and there you go... instant headshot. Casting directors just need a face with a name and experience and you might get an audition.

GOOD LUCK! and remember...

thanks!
i haven't talked to my parents about this yet. i told my mom on the phone today and she said she would look at the website when she gets home from work so wish me luck that she says i can!! *crosses fingers*

Do you have an agent? I live in a small town and to get an agent i would have to travel like 100 miles. but then again its worth it!

well, I don't have one at the moment, but I'm getting one soon. And I live in a small town too, so I'm sure if you and a parent/guardian do some research you'll be able to find someone that suits your needs!

does stage acting count well for a reasume?

Wait stop don;t get a agent unless he is a apart of national blah blach of agents socieltty because it could be a scamand you really can't get a legitamate agent without doing some big features jobds like a comercial or something ask your mom to be it and you really don't need one in the beginning because when you don't have a agent at the beginning their ar emore oppurtuneittees

try being a extra first to improve your resume do some local plays and schol plays too join the drama club:)

yes it does :0

:offtopic: i wonder what the movie will be like:cool1:

definitely. the usual format for a resume is that you list, film work, stage work, and voice over work. Along with general facts about yourself, (age, ht., wt., etc...) and special talents<<<this is where you seperate yourself from the rest. for example, on my resume I list being able to balance a spoon on my nose! :lmao: but I can so I put it on!

i really want to do audtions and resumes but i havent even metioned yo my parents that i want to do this and they will probably say this is silly :(

my mom isn't all for this...

She's cool with me doing local theatre but eh she doesn't want me to try for some reason...

I'll work on her some more

actually u dont need an agent b cuz i dont have one and they already said im going to b in the movie b cuz they liked my resume

Didnt the guy who run this blog come on the dis and ask our opinon of making maybe making a disney channel realty show... Kinda like American Idol except with singing, dancing acting??

Let me tell you one thing. People PAY YOU if they want you. NEVER EVER pay money if they ask for it.

I did some modeling for a while but ended up shelling out more money than I ever got. Not gonna lie, I had one of the most amazing weeks of my life at a modeling competition, but also not gonna lie: it got me nowhere and cost me mucho dinero (that's a lot of money).

Just a friendly word of advice.

Carry on.

Hey I was just wondering if anyone knew of like an agents place in Indianapolis because my mom is really skeptical about sending in anything to get an agent she would much rather see one in person. So if anyone knows of anywhere near or in Indianapolis please let me know. Thanks so much

I don't know of any off the top of my head but the best advice to tell your mom is to never pay up front. Places like Barbizon, John Robert Powers, and IMTA are scams. Sure they have some success stories....but come one do you really want to shell out thousends and thousends of dollers to take some classes??

Check out Professional Actors Resourse Forum....they have a lot of great advice.
