Camp of Disney RP Part 4

Gordon: "I'm horrible." He looked at Amber. "A double date? I'll have to talk to her before then..."

Missy: Missy wasn't going to argue with him there. She replied, "I mean-" she stopped. "You can't."

Goedon: "Have you seen me? I was just beat up by a super soldier yesterday. I can take it. And anyways, I deserve it."

Missy: Missy handed him the bouquet of the gold roses she collected. She muttered, "Take these."

Gordon: He gulped. "Okay. Thank you, Missy, Amber." He walked over to Britannia. "Britannia, sweetheart, I am so, so sorry." He held out the bouquet. "I know this won't help anything, but I need you to know how very much I love you."

OOC: Well, I'd be able to experiment with Richard/Missy. Random thought time! I feel like if COD were a book, readers would be doing so much shipping.

Missy: "It might work. But I dunno how you'd get Mam to go for it, considering she'd be too angry to even look at you without punching you in the face."

OOC: I guess this is kinda shippy. I personally ship Andrew/Chao. Sometimes I like Kari/Eric and sometimes I think they're both overemotional. I guess Richard/Missy could work, but Missy doesn't seem like the girl that likes to be protected. I guess I do ship Jori/Dustin.

But I don't really think about the ships here, mostly because I ship Hope/Jay too hard over in YA to think about other ships unless I'm focused on them.

Amber: "Good luck," she said.

OOC: Sorry about the double post. I ship Hope/Jay a lot, Jason/Opal, Jori/Dustin, and I sort of like Kari/Eric (no offense to anyone). I don't think I make good couples most of the time because I've never dated.

OOC: I've never dated either.

For me, that's not the trick to making good couples.

For me, that boils down to one word: observation. In fact, that goes for anything character-wise. If you notice, couples from books and movies can actually be decent portrayals of how relationships can work (Twilight does not count). Books in particular can be really helpful because the thought process of the character is more apparent.

For instance, Percy and Annabeth and Ron and Hermione. When you think about it, they're kinda similar - a sarcastic and funny boy and a really smart girl. Both are brave and loyal and protective of each other. They also have the best friend angle - both pairs were very close friends before they started dating. Percy and Annabeth and Ron and Hermione were actually part of the inspiration behind Jason and Natalie, from SOD.

Those are really easy to write. You've got the close friendship - next to eah other in class, similar interests, working together, having fun, those inside jokes and secret looks. But then, those inside jokes and secret looks start to mean something more, randomly holding hands in public, the game of ball leads to ice cream, the study session becomes a study date and suddenly they're together.

But rivals/enemies into lovers is harder than best friends but its easy too. This one would be more James Potter and Lily Evans. Hate and dislike over a rivalry, but the rivalry is because they are somewhat equals, which comes with respect, if grudging, for their talents ad strengths, which becomes less grudging, until they become tolerant of each other, which leaves to an unsteady friendship that becomes less awkward as time goes on, and turns into a romantic relationship without them even knowing.

It's pretty easy if you model relationships and friendships after stuff you've seen.

OOC: Thanks! Very deep, and I agree. I'm writing a story right now, and I have both types of those couples in it.
I don't read romance novels, but most books have romance in them, but it isn't the main theme. (Percy Jackson and Harry Potter like you said)

OOC: You're welcome.

I don't tend to either, but they do, you can use most anything.

OOC: I agree that this is a sort of shippy thread, which is why I think if it were a book, the amount of fanfiction shipping would be unimaginable. But also I think that way because there's a lot of friendship couples, but there's also opposite couples, maybe some enemy couples, good-evil couples, etc.

I actually never shipped Kari and Richard. I just had them date because I wanted to develop Richard in a more romantic setting. I'm glad on how it turned out because I got to tap into Richard's past and I made him a more understandable character. That being said, I still have a lot of development to throw at him. I feel like Richard/Kari was a way to force both of them into development.

I agree, Kari/Eric does get really emotional. Kari was basically the weakened character that I never intended to make. I feel like their drama comes from the fact that Kari led Eric on before getting together with Richard. I mean, they sort of had chemistry before the whole Kari/Richard business. Their relationship would probably be less overemotional and more romantic if I had never made Richard, but at the same time I think they can move past it.

Missy/Richard is a definite plausibility. Although Perry has made the point that Missy does not want protection, which is what my main obstacle with this relationship is. I think maybe having them slowly work toward each other would go better, but I don't have a set plan for them. Perhaps Missy will help Richard get over his traumatic past, which in turn, sets them both up to become friends. Then later on they could date, but I still am deciding on how this is going to go.

I like the Jori/Dustin coupling. Although I will be honest, at the beginning of the thread I thought Dustin was going to date Dana. Don't ask me why, because to this day I still don't know, I guess at the time I thought it'd be kind of interesting.

Chao/Andrew I do like as well. I think they'd work well together. I sort of think a lot of the relationships on the thread leads to shipping, just because. I swear, relationships come out in full bloom. They do.

Balthazar/Tiare is kind of slow in the making, although I do like the interesting dynamic. I think once Balthazar officially changes his ways for good, although to be fair he wasn't that evil in the first place, they could make one of the strangest couples on this thread. But that necessarily isn't a bad thing, as I do really like them together. I think in Disney they could bond more. Since Balthazar was intended to be a natural sourpuss, the Disney setting wouldn't normally be his thing, but I think having a friend there would lighten his mood a bit.

Britannia/Gordon is the interesting one though. It kind of all started on COD. I do really want to see them work it out, even though Gordon doesn't necessarily deserve it. I know that Britannia will likely not forgive him, which is what any normal and sensible person would do, but at the same time her and Gordon have been through quite a bit. Sometimes their relationship can be a little strained, but I think that's what makes it sort of work in a way.

Missy: Missy wished him the best of luck. He would need it.

Britannia: Britannia turned around slowly. She blinked, standing up as she looked at Gordon, not really sure of what to do for a few moments. Then she punched him squarely in the face, crying angrily, shaking her head as if she didn't understand him.

Gordon: He went cross-eyed and winced. "Well, my nose is even more broken, but I deserved that. Britannia, my love, I am so so so sorry. I love you and only you, and I regret kissing another girl. Please, I just want to make things right. I'll do anything to get you to forgive me." he gently placed a hand on her cheek.

OOC: I did bring Chao and Andrew together, in the very beginning they had awesome chemistry but Melanie happened and after I took over from Silv I made Chao and Andrew a thing but there wasn't a lot of fanfare or anything. I should develop that relationship.

They might not be dating yet, but I think Balthazar and Tiare already have one of the strangest friendships/companionships. In my head, I see Balthazar as this tall, dark, imposing figure (I see Richard as tall and imposing too, just blonde), and then I see Tiare as this small girl, most likely between 4'10" and 5'1", dreamy, very waif-like, like fae, almost like a Hawaiian Luna. And previously he's consorted with Britannia and Missy, and, while Missy is related to a hero, I think they can both be considered tall, strong, tough "bad" girls. And then there's this admittedly wise and experienced yet inexperienced "good" girl fae. Their relationship and Balthazar's turning is pretty slow going, but had any of the Antis or even some of the preppier/more powerful Heroes taken to bullying, I could have seen it going a bit more quickly, if Balthazar got possessive like a lot of villains tend to do and decided to protect was was "his". However, besides Dana/Dustin, there's no real conflict between the campers.

I'm just surprised Missy and Britannia don't know about Tia yet.

Yes, I can see Balthazar and Tia becoming close at Disney. Particularly if Thompson sets a "no one goes alone" rule (I have not decided as of yet). By the way, if you didn't see, they'll be going to Disney the day after Gordon's visit ends.

OOC: FINALLY SOME FREE TIME.

What my sister got at the state fair:
-3 dark purple banners (like blue means first place, dark purple means Grand Champion)
-1 dark purple ribbon
-1 light purple ribbon
-1 director's chair
-2 book bags
-2 skillathon winner ribbons
- thousands in scholarships and earnings from selling her pig
-probably more, I'm just listing what's in the living room right now

what I got:
-2 second place ribbons

:P not my year. oh well.

Tim: he would've punched Dana if Shinai hadn't held him back.

Dana: She smiled at Tim's reaction, and the fact that Shinai had to hold him back. "From what I heard, Eli Shane started fighting against his friends, including your sister, Tim. I wonder how long it took for her to go down," Dana said.

Dustin: "Probably not as long as it took for Eli to defeat your dad," Dustin muttered under his breath.

Dana: She rolled her eyes. "Anyways, from the footage I got, it almost looked like your brother had gotten ghouled, Dustin. Even I didn't know that could happen to humans."

Tim: "I'm sure the gang is fine."
Dana: She kept smirking. "Oh, sure. I mean, even if they did survive Eli's little problem, though, they didn't catch the ghoul who did it. It's still out there. And that's probably why Dustin's acting up now. Since Eli is your brother, you're getting the side effects." Dana narrowed her eyes. "You could attack your friends at any moment, Shane. How does that feel?"

OOC: I imagine Dana sounding and acting like Azula.

Dustin: He frowned and stared at the ground, but didn't respond to Dana.
