Is the campfire / movie at Ft Wilderness for guests only? Has anyone been and would you recommend it?

Thanks-
Donna

To my knowledge it's open to all on-property guests. We stayed at VWL and it was listed in the "things to do" flyer. We went once, saw TS 2. Movie was fun, campfire was so-so. We got there late so maybe it had burned down quite a bit. We would/will do it again, nice change of pace.

The campfire was cute and the best thing is it's free! Well unless you buy s'more fixins. :) They sell a package that will feed 4 very well. They have a sing along and also Chip and Dale come out to meet everyone. Check out the camping board for more info.

The campfire program is an excellent freebie, just be careful when entering Fort Wilderness - you could get bit by the camping bug:teeth: :teeth:

Our last trip (nov. 2000) we stayed in a wilderness home at FW and went on a couple different nights. My boys loved the movies and sitting out at night. You could buy a bag of marshmallows and 2 sticks for about $2. It was lots of fun roasting them and watching the movie. A great treat!!

can anyone tell me what time the campfire starts and how long it lasts? I think my niece would enjoy this. Thanks.
