Cameras on Rides

Is there a list somewhere of where the cameras are placed on rides or the timing of when a picture is taken (like for TOT) for ride photos? I would like to be able to coordinate some funny pictures with my family this next trip and to do so I need to know when or where the pictures are being taken.

There are some new attractions with ride photos since I built this one.

MK- Splash Mountain
MK- Space Mountain

DHS- Tower of Terror
DHS- Rock'nRoller Coaster

Epcot- Test Track

AK- Expedition Everest
AK- Dinosaur

Below is a list of where the photos are taken, but if you're not fully familiar with the attraction,
you still may not be able to anticipate exactly when it will occur.
Just know that there will be a bright strobe FLASH when the photo is taken.

MK- Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin-
In the room with the very large Emperor Zurg in his command pod.

MK-Splash Mountain-
Right after you crest the Big Drop.

MK-Space Mountain-
Near the beginning of the ride. First, there's a BLUE tunnel, and then
go around a corner and start the uphill climb.
The camera is where you round that corner and start going up.

DHS- Tower of Terror-
At ONE of the points when your elevator's doors are open at the top
outdoor view.

DHS- Rock'nRoller Coaster-
At the point of LAUNCH.

Epcot-Test Track-
Just before your car "crashes through the wall" to the outdoor run.

AK- Expedition Everest-
Right after you crest the Big Drop (after the shadow of the Yeti is seen.)

AK- Dinosaur-
Just as the Carnitaurus makes his last GRAB for you.

One thing I would caution is to maybe think about limiting your "funny pictures" to where it's just you and your family. Yeah, it's great for you and your family to have a great photo on Twilight Zone of doing a funny pose but the other people in your elevator might not agree.

Not condemning your choice, just offering advice.

Haven't heard anything about ride photos being added to btm anytime soon.

right. Funny photo for you that does not mean quality standards means 17 other angry people who don't get their ride photo.

They can usually crop your photos to just your party. In fact, they seem to default to this these days. They have editing software and can show you the final before you order a print. I believe they can do this on ToT as well as many other rides.

Back in the day when the Photopass was only an arm and a leg instead of your first born child.... I used to ride crop pictures to include just DD and I. Now we take "Red Neck ride Photos." Yes, photos of the preview screen. I am adept at removing my camera and setting it up as the ride slows for disembarking. We still do amusing, to us, photo poses. Pretending we are petrified, bored or choking each other is a blast.

One of my fave photos, if not my favorite, from my 2011 trip is a "Red Neck Ride Photo" of my sister and me on Space Mountain. I'm loving it and she's holding on for dear life with a look of anguish on her face. Oh it was priceless. I would've paid but my ghetto preview pic came out pretty good! lol

In November, my son and husband rode ToT and were told they could not have their picture put on our Photopass+ card as a kid made an obscene gesture. They could not crop it. In hindsight, I wish I would have asked if they could ride it again via FP line as they didn't make it back on and so I don't have a picture of them on it

I wasn't thinking of doing anything I would have a problem with if someone else did it in my picture. I was thinking of giving my kids bunny ears or pretending that we're sleeping or something of that nature. Is that something that people would really take offense to?
