I didn't realize that. I have taken pictures of almost all of the outdoor portion of the ride then put it in my pocket when you go into the building. You are not allowed to use cameras on Jurassic Park. I've had many TMs tell me to put away my camera. I always have the urge to take it out when the big doors are opening and the soundtrack is playing at the beginning.
You will only get wet if you sit at the front and this happens at the end of the ride.

If you have a camera, it should be fine in your pants pocket on this ride. If a plastic bag makes you feel more secure, go for it.
Really!Wow! Then I've either had bad luck with the TMs or you've been lucky.

I don't understand how they tell you not to use your camera during the ride. Do they get over the PA and say "Hey, put your camera away!"? I've never had my camera out in the load area, so they wouldn't have any reason or chance to say anything to me.
I'm not advocating breaking the rules, but lets be honest, there's no reason you can't take pictures in any outdoor area of the park. I'm all for people not taking flash pictures on rides and disturbing other guests, it's one of my biggest annoyances, but I don't see why they'd tell you to refrain from taking pictures of the entire ride.

There are several odd rules on Jurassic Park. Don't put your hands up, don't lean forward, don't take a picture. All of which it's really no problem if you do. I wonder if they tell you not to put your hands up so you don't mess up the picture.
I thought they just wanted you to keep your hands inside the boat...meaning don't stick them in the water. The leaning forward I thought was to protect you from hitting the bar when the boat slows down upon water impact.
