What do you guys do with the camera and recorders when your on rides?
Is there a place to put them? And so MOM or DAD can get in a few photos are cameras for the kids the way to go? We wont be doing the big photo thing DL offers so just wondering.

Also what about wallets? Bring them with, or room safe? DL locker? Just not sure how to deal with a few "security" issues for important things.
Oh by the way 45 days and the count down continues.

Well, haven't been to DL yet - hopefully in December, but last year in WDW we had our camera's in a backpack. Some days we had the bigger camera & camcorder & some days we had the smaller camera. But we always had water, snacks, bandaids, & other necessities, so we always had a bag of some sort, big or small. That is also where we kept our $$$.

On the rides.... some rides had nets to keep them in, some water rides had a center container that was waterproof. I also think (remember "think") that I read that DL's water rides have lockers to put yourstuff in for free - right before you get on or something. Otherwise the bag just sat at my feet or I put my legs into the strap of the bag, etc. The only ride that was too harsh to take it on was Tower of Terror, my parents wouldn't & couldn't ride that, so they held our stuff. Otherwise, even the faster ones & roller coasters the bag just sat at our feet w/a leg in the strap & it was fine!

As for camera's for the kids, I only have a 6 year old & if she wanted to take pictures, she used ours. But of course she was always in the rides w/us, so that probably won't help you much....

Have a great trip!

I typically carry a small camera case that has my small camera, credit cards, money etc. in it & it goes on all of the rides with me. Some of the rides have pouches or bins next to/under/in front of your seat.

In the camera case I also have a ziplock bag to put the camera & money in for the rides on which you may get wet.

I usually carry my travelon bag or my camera bag that both doubles as a purse for money, id's and things and also holds the camera. I have the other nonvaluable stuff in the bottom of the stroller like snacks and drinks. All I do when I go on rides is carry this small bag with me. I have a special DL wallet. Its Bambi of course and its small so I put my AP, Drivers license, debit and credit card and cash in there. I leave the big wallet at home.

BTW here is my 45 days and counting dance for you!!! EXCITING! :cool1: :cool1:       :cheer2: :cheer2: :dance3: :yay: :cool1:

My camera is really small I stick it in my jacket or hold on to it with the strap on my wrist unless it's a wild ride with a pouch then I stick it in the pouch. I don't carry a wallet my boyfriend carries all the stuff we need in his. He usually wears cargo pocket shorts and sticks it in there.

I usually carry everything i need in those lanyards. My camera is also small enough for me to clip it on there as well.

I keep my ID, debit card, park ticket, chapstick, and cash in my pants pocket. The kid usually takes a small backpack and we keep the camera in there. There's usually someplace to stash is on the ride.

If you get a locker a the park, it prints out a piece of paper with the combination on it. I just stick that in my pocket as well.

great. Now do you take all valuables with you or do you need a safe at all? Mind you we will be on a 15 day vacation with a family of 4. So we will be bringing a few things. I have a semi small camera and so does DH. We all have fanny packs so that will work right. I want to bring small waters too. hopfully I wont need a locker. We plan on just grabbing corndogs for lunch or something like that. And eating at an affordable place too. BUT IN PARK. Our hotel is diractly accross the street so no big dael to walk.

I carry a Jansport mini backpack and when I go on the rides I just put it in the backpack.

fanny pack... but, a cute one. LOL! Check eBags.com - they have an adorable selection of waist packs and day packs...

I carry a small backpack style purse. It's small enough to be lightweight and the straps are long enough that on rides like Splash I can simply wear it like a Snuggli as a "frontpack". It fits my money, glasses, camera, medication, etc but is NOT big enough for the family to keep going, "here, carry this" and getting me all loaded down with stuff.

Our camera case goes on DH's belt. We don't bring wallets inside Disneyland. We will bring some cash for food for that day and our tickets. We have one day that we purchase soveiners, but that is normally the last day and I scope it out beforehand to know how much I will be spending on them. We also have our backpack with kid stuff in it. They are small and fit with the stroller.

I usually do the lanyard for cash/tickets/credit card. DH will usually put the camera (it is little) in his pocket (they are big). One other thing we like to do to get group photos (please no one blow me up for this), is on the rides where everyone rides, we have the camera ready to go, and ask the ride operator to snap a quick picture of our group. We have done this on Alice, Teacups and Pinocchio - this way we end up with photos of our whole group!!
