I actually thought it would be wider across, and was a little surprised by the depth dimension.

Agreed! I thought when I got my 6MDH it would be wider and thinner. When I put it on, I was surprised how far away from my body it stuck out. Not enough to be worried about, but enough that I was just a little surprised at how much it was shaped like a box.

I would like to hear from anyone who has done the Photopass CD. What is the quality like? What size are the images? I have a digital SLR with high end lenses and I am planning on leaving them at home and using a point and shoot for an upcoming trip and using Photopass for the CD/DVD. Can someone post a photo from one of their CDs?

I don't know for sure but from what I've read, I believe they are JPGs straight from the cameras that the Photopass photographers use. (Nikon D70s and I think some D80s), complete with exif information. I assume they have them set to maximum jpg quality.

IMHO I would ditch the PnS and bring the DSLR (why have a DSLR if you're not going to take it somewhere like WDW?), but that's just my opinion and you're welcome to ignore it.

Thanks Groucho I would normally agree with bringing the DSLR as I have on my prior trip but this time we are a group of 8 with 5 kids and I'm looking at reducing the load. My "L" series lens and camera get heavy with all of the other stuff.

The point and shoot is a new Canon 780is with very good features and just a few ounces...

I'd really love to buy a Jill-e bag but to ship one to Australia from the USA is quite expensive. So I was thinking that I'd buy one when we're in America.

We'll be visiting Vegas, Anaheim, San Diego & New York. How easy is it to find a Jill-e bag in one of these places and what kinds of shops stock them?

In Vegas, we're planning on visiting the big discount/outlet shopping mall that is nearby. Could I find a Jill-e bag in one of these stores?

I'd rather have a list of shops I can check out before I go so I'm not traipsing around everywhere looking for one.

Any ideas?

I just googled them and their website is jill-e.com. There's a map with all of their retailers listed.

They look like nice bags. I had never heard of them.

I did the Photo Pass back in January. It was good in the sense that I actually got to be in the pictures...as I'm usually the one behind the camera.

However, Photo Pass photographer's were scarce. When we did find one, we almost always had to wait a few minutes.

I wasn't impressed with the quality of the photos. Several of our shots were out of focus and blurry. A couple more were blown out. Most of the photographer's also performed a lot of "amputation" as well...which annoys me.

In my opinion, take the DSLR, but just take one decent all around lens into the parks with you. That will make it a lot easier to carry around.

We did it a few years ago and most of the photographers were using a d70 and had little experience in photography. The pictures came out fine, they mainly set up for the background image and just click a shot or two. here are some samples. Our course different photgraphers will produce different results.

I'm looking at getting a Jill-e camera bag and was wanting some opinions first. Does anyone have one of these bags and what do you think of it? Would it be a pain carrying it around Disneyland as it is a shoulder style bag? Has anyone used a Jill-e for outings where there was lots of walking around?

I just bought a Canon 450D with the twin lens kit and am trying to find a bag that can fit the camera body with one lens attached, & two extra lenses.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I want something that is not going to be too heavy when I carry it around DL.

It will hold my 40d with 70-200 f4/L IS attached. In addition I have a flash, kit 18-55 lens, nifty fifty, + straps, memory cards, and chargers, etc.

I do a lot of bike riding and this is what I use with my XSi - a "holster" style case (I have modified it) fits the camera with one lens attached and one lens below, there's a small compartment for extra SD card, filters, etc. I have a separate belt case to carry a third lens.

I have a jill-e bag that I carry with me everywhere. Everyone thinks its a large purse or a diaper bag. I have 3 lense 1 camera body flash and all my extras. It is really heavy so I dont plan on carrying it around the park.I always carry my camera around my neck even on rides the strap is farely long were it rest on my lap.My camera never rest long enough to be put in a camera bag.

The lowepro slingshot 200 is a really good size for the Rebel and 2 lenses. Also, its easy to switch off when you can keep the bag on, swing it forward and have the support of the bag rather than finding a place to put one lens down as you attach or detach the other lens.

My kit is a Nikon D80 with a 70-300 attached and a 18-55. I'm also going to be carrying a 50mm or 30mm prime. I went around and around on this for months. Originally I was set on a Crumpler $6m home. I loved the capacity and build quality of the crumpler but in the end it was just too big and heavy, also it seemed like it wouldn't fit in most ride's nets/baskets. I looked at all sorts of backpacks, waist packs, sling bags and shoulder bags and wasn't happy until I went to my local camera store with my kit and found this:

It held my D80 with the 70-300 lens on (which is fairly larger than the xsi), 18-55, and a 50mm that I borrowed from the store and looked like it could fit beneath a seat or in a net easily. It was much lighter and more compact than any other bag that I found with the same capacity and you can find them for under $50.00

What really sold me was the waterproof nylon shell that is built into a pocket on the bottom of the bag. It covers the bag so well and easily stuffs back into the pocket without any special folding.

I just got a Lowepro Fastpack 250 and love it. It holds my camera lenses, laptop, jacket, and other small doo-dads.

I can access my camera without taking the bag off which is awesome. If you don't need to carry your laptop as well. I'd suggest the 100 as it's big enough for a camera w/ lens attached and 1-2 other lens and a flash.

I like the Lowepro Slingshots and the Tamrac Velocity sling packs because they're top-loading which makes it easy to get at your camera. I have the Lowepro AW100, AW200 and the Tamrac Velocity 9x. I'm happy with all of them. Which one I use depends on what camera I'm taking with me and how much extra gear I'm dragging along.

The most compact is the AW100. That should hold your Rebel with a mid-range zoom attached plus 1 - 2 additional lenses. I can carry a Nikon D70s with a 28-105 attached along with a 50mm and a 70-300mm in an AW100. However, that's about all you're going to get into it, so if you think at some point you're going to want to carry a 3rd or 4th lens, the AW200 might be a better option.

The Tamrac Velocity 7x might work for you as well. The Velocity are nice because they're a little less boxy than the Lowepro Slingshots (more streamlined), but the tradeoff is that you don't have quite as easy access to the extra lenses as with the Lowepro.

Both are easy to wear as a back pack, and then you just flip them around in front of you and can load and unload your camera from the top. Quick and easy access.

after many trial and error bags i find i like messenger type bags best and have a tamrac system 3, hold rebel xt (same size as yours) with any one of the following attached and the rest in the main body of the bag( with their hoods), 70-200 f4 , 28-135mm, 50mm and either100mm or 10-17mm ( i could probably cram in both if i really had to)
