I have used a Crumpler "Two Million Dollar Home" camera bag for my S2 for a couple of years now.

Okay -- done shopping!! (my hubby is thrilled - that I'm done shopping!!LOL) I ended up with the Lowepro Rezo 110 AW bag. It's a great little bag. The camera fits nice and snug with two adjustable dividers inside and a front pocket that can be accessed without opening up the camera compartment - good place for credit card, lip gloss, and extra batteries! The back of the bag has a belt loop which I slipped my gorrillapod thru and twisted the legs a bit - good to go there! And the part I really love is that I can get to the camrea really quick from the top. It comes with a self storing rain cover as well -for those sudden showers at WDW!! There are stretchy pockets on each end as well. Lots of space without being to big! Thanks again for all the tips - I was going with the Samsonite one until I saw this one - they are about the same size, the Lowepro is maybe a tad smaller in size, but the pocket setups are very similar.

I'm thinking of getting a Gorrillapod. Are you happy with it & have you had it for very long? I figure i wouldn't be using it all that much but would be great for when i might need a tripod.

I haven't had the gorrillapod very long only a couple of weeks. But I've played with it a bit and it's very easy to use. The one thing I have to remember is to be sure the little ring at the base of the mount support is unlocked before I shove my camera on it! I spent a good 5 minutes several days ago wondering if I had broken it, because I couldn't get it to snap in place on the mount. Finally figured out it was in the locked mode and would not latch in place! One must be smarter than the equipment!!

I'm leaving for WDW and the Wonder in a few months, and may not want to haul my Tamrac 7 around the parks/decks when just using my XT and walk around lens.

Any recommendations for a hipsack type arrangement with good protective padding? and maybe a compartment for sunblock? and maybe even a holder for a bottle of water???

I just can't do the vest thing, my kids wouldn't stay anywhere near me, I already imbaras them enough when I wear crocs or my birks with socks or something such as that, the vest would put them ovef the top regardless of it's usefulness.

But my plan is to get the lowepro slingshot 200 for park usage

I've been using a Tamrac Velocity sling pack. I have the velocity 6 for my Rebel XT. It handles the camera and lens plus a few odds and ends. It could handle an extra lens and a strobe. There are different sizes too...

I used the Lowepro Slingshot 200 last week at Disneyland. I was unsure when I bought it (I'm only 5'5" tall) because I wasn't sure it really fit me right, but after lugging it around all day, I realized that it was perfect. Very easy design for changing lenses and filters and fit securely on my back otherwise.

For just my Camera and walk around lens i use a Holster that has a belt loop...

Is that what you mean?

I got the cheap one from Amvona on ebay, think it was like $15 delivered, it fits my 20D with Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 lens(hood on backwards) and might accomidate a lens silightly larger.

It comes with a removeable shoulder strap and some belt loops. I then carry all my gear (H20 bottle, sun screent, extra lens, etc) in a back pack with a waist belt and attach the bag to the belt.

It is quite a fashion statement I admit, but anyone considering a "fanny-pack" type camera bag must not be all that concerned about fashion.

The only problem I have now is that I just got a battery grip for my XT and now it doesn't fit too well. So now I don't know whether to just get a bigger size or try something else all together

I won't comment on the 'fanny pack fashion' observation... yup, hip pack, sling, whatever is hands free but not as big as my Tamrac 7 backpack.

That Tamrac Velocity looks PERFECT!!!! very cool! I'll have to check Circuit City to see if I can try one out locally. I do like the Lowepro Slingshot as well, but the size was more than I'm looking for. I already have a backpack for hauling all my gear.

that's a good thing it's easier to take their pictures if they aren't close..

after a few times of using the vest the family won't think anything of it..

with the vest, once they see how functional it is, {it's so much easier to acess everything while walking and not slowing down the group}..and how other people react to it, they'll think it's cool..

Does anyone know what kind of camera the photopass photographers use?

Also do you know if they had to take a class or complete any training or are they just taking pics using the auto feature of the camera?

I believe they all currently use a Nikon D80, I think they used a Nikon D70 before.

I'm sure they have to get some sort of training but I don't know how extensive. I remember at least once a Photopass photographer posted in a Photopass thread a while ago (like months ago). I haven't bought any of the photos but from looking at them online (and seeing the shots they've taken with my camera), they're probably about average - really, they're usually taking the same photos over and over again, so it's mainly just a matter of framing, and sometimes some do well and some do not so well.

I don't know what mode they use, but people who have bought them report that the photos are straight from the camera complete with exif data, so that'd tell you. The photographers themself don't see the photos at all apparently, they go via a wireless connection straight to a central repository on their network somewhere.

Re: viewing them online, I have found that if you're patient, you can recreate the photo on the Photopass site in a decent resolution instead of the tiny thumbnail by zooming to the max then previewing the photo and saving the JPG. Do it right and you'll have nine JPGs (a 3x3 grid) that you can then reassemble in your photo editor of choice to be one larger photo. I understand that they don't want to give you a too high quality image online, but the little one they show you is way too small to see if it's worth having it printed!
