Is it just me or do others have trouble using the Photopass web site to create a photobook? The photos I'd like to buy were going to be about the same price as creating one of their books, so I decided to do that instead. I'm having trouble uploading my own photos past a certain point and their cropping tool doesn't do a very good job. The site is also VERY slow to respond.

Is it just me?

Hi all,

garris3404 hope you don't mind me reviving this thread...

We all got our uncle an S3 for Christmas. His birthday is this Saturday, and DH and I want to get him a bag. I've looked at all the ones mentioned here, and wanted to know which one is the most compact, but will still hold a few extras like batteries, mem cards, manual?

The OEM Canon bag looks like it will be a good size...I don't know if he would want the bag to have an actual strap, though. He might like it b/c he can wear it on his belt or fanny pack.

I kind of like the Tamrac 5682 or Lowepro topload Zoom 2. I guess we should just go and look at them, but I wanted to get your experiences/thoughts.

Thanks!!!

No I have had the same problems
all my photos are taken using the highest setting 6m and that file is 2 big to download on to the photopass site

i just ended up scanning the photos from our disney cruise so hopefully they will come out OK
just after ordering my book

will let you know how it comes out

how about ordering the CD of all your photos
and getting them printed yourself

Picked up the Rezo 110 AW from Best Buy last night, b/c his birthday is tomorrow! Hope he likes it, if not, I have the receipt! lol

I think he likes it! He loaded it up...:thumbsup2

I logged into their site and could only find an e-mail contact. Looked in a few different places and could not find a phone number.

I even asked for one in my E-mail when the switch was going on and they relied to everything else but that.

Ok, I am taking my Canon 20d this trip. I am a little hesitant but maybe I'll feel better if I can find a smaller camera bag.
I want to take my camera and the kit lens (18-55) and one additional lens.
I REALLY don't want to lug around my main bag. It's big and bulky and I don't have a small child to warrant getting a stroller to carry it in!
Anyone have a great bag for your SLR?

You'll probably get as many opinions on this as to what camera to buy. But, here is my favorite - I just bought the Crumpler 5mill home. It is just the right size for me. Very comfortable to carry messenger style, quick, easy access to all my gear. Personally, I don't like backpacks because you can't easily access your gear on the run - my family isn't very patient! Plus, the Crumpler isn't stiff and boxy like most camera bags and as an added bonus - it looks good! So, there you have my $.02

The Lowepro Slingshot series is nice. It has the comfort factor of a backpack, but you can swing it around to access your camera without having to take it off your shoulders. I have the 200, which easily holds my D70 with lens attached, plus 2 other lenses, memory cards, etc., with room for various kid related paraphernalia. If that's too big, you might like the 100. I originally bought that, then decided I needed the larger one. I'm not sure how the 20D body compares in size to the D70, but the 100 would hold my D70 with lens attached and 1-2 other lenses, depending on the size.

Steve's Girl, you must have a stronger back than I. I tried the $4 or $5 million home, and although I loved the look of it, I couldn't imagine lugging it around on vacation. My chiropractor probably would have appreciated the business though.;)

I like the Crumplers too. Your 20D with the kit lens will fit in the $4M bag but there won't be room for the other lens. Which opens another option (that I sometimes use), LowePro's lens pouches fit nicely onto the loops on the side of the Crumpler "homes".
I carry my other lens in the pouch and can move it to the inside of the bag when the camera is out of the bag.

With the $5M home you can carry all of it in the bag but I thought the $5M was too big for my tastes (DW has one and likes it).

I just purchased the lowepro 100 sling bag for my upcoming trip. I purchased it on Ebay for a lot less than retail. Ebay has both the 100 and 200 lowepro sling bags available as wells as other brands and styles.

I also looked at the lowepro slingers but ultimately decided they were just too big. So I went with the lowepro Nova 2 AW. Amazingly I can get my Rebel, 18-55, 50 f/1.8 and 70-300 IS all in the bag with no problems. I used it on trip to Vegas a few weeks ago and found it very comfortable to carry around all day. I would have no problem taking it to Disney (if I could just get the time and money together for a trip to Disney :)). Plus it has an integrated weather cover just in case the rains come.

we just got the slingshot 200 from Fry's...DH tried it and liked it after adamantly refusing b/c he didn't like the way it looked online. It's a great size, fits our D200 with room for a lot of other stuff, comfy (but haven't tried it out on an all day excursion yet). I think the 100 might have been too small...

If you can find the slingshots in a store, try it out and see for yourself whether or not you like it. We had ordered a Stealth Reporter 200 online and it turned out to be a really tight fit with our gear and not very comfy to walk around with...

I have the lowepro sling back 200 and love it. It holds my camera body, 3 lens',flash and camcorder.

OK another question - for those of you with the slingshot 200 - if I purchase one and put my XTi with lens attached and maybe 2 more lenses in it - will I have extra room for ponchos, saline, and the few other must haves we take into the park?

And one note about the ponchos - my DH is amazing at flattening those things out and making them VERY small. He was able to get 4 adult sized ponchos into a maybe a 5x7 (or maybe a tad larger) inch space. Of course I would never put them back in wet and risk getting my beloved camera equipment wet.

Also am I correct in thinking that the 200 comes with the waterproof cover - or is it extra?
