i love taking pictures and scrapbooking. Right now DH and I have an olympus that my mom got us with points she had, and I have a fuji fin-pix. I HATE my fuji with a passion!!!! It worked fine for the first year, and then it started blacking out pixles in the pictures. I have the exteneded best buy warrenty, but all they will do is clean it. It has been cleaned 4 times now and it seems to be getting worse. I have gotten different memory cards and no luck. Needless to say I am done with this camera and bestbuys customer service.

I really want to get a new camera for myself since the olumpus is primarily for DH at work since at the time I already have my camera. I like the olympus and thought about getting myself one, but it takes pictures really slow. Even in sport or auto mode.

To make a long story short, I have been looking at canon power shots and nikn cool pix. I want something that will take a picture as soon as I hit the button.

Thanks for any help you can give!

Here are my favorite point and shoots:
Sony cybershot - Carl Zeiss lens
Panasonic Luminx
Canon S3 or S5IS

Lately I have been seeing alot more positive comments about the Luminx

If you paid for an extended warranty and all they are doing is clean it, then you need to talk to their manager and get a little mad. That is ridiculous.

Agree 100%!

If you want something faster then what you've been using I'd suggest a bridge camera like mentioned above. They're a bit bigger then a PnS but you can still toss them in a bag, though not a pocket.

Panasonic Lumix... Last time a PAS was simply not at all good.:confused3 This trip is all about pictures.:thumbsup2 My trusty ole' friend will be with me. Great pics and just cannot beat the familiar feel of a real camera, lightweight, different lenses, and just over all the only one I would take back. Just MHO.

I've been that route, and supposedly they sent it off and could not find anythng wrong with it, so they cleaned it again... this is a pic to so you what it's doing.

I don't really want different lenses. My sis-in-law has a canon and she pleased. I want something light weight that I can put in my purse at WDW, simply to use, and take pics fast.
