I have both booked. Is one better than the other?
It will be for me and my 14 year old daughter. Lots of park time, probably back to room in afternoon, rest, pool, back to park.

They're both fairly the same. The Camelot and Tropicana are owned by the same people - "sister hotels" or "sister properties" is what they're called I think. We've stayed at Camelot quite a few times and love it there, so can vouch for that hotel. It is also right next to McDonald's, which is convenient for a quick snack or morning breakfast.

I'm sure the Tropicana is great as well. We've just never stayed there.

I've got reservations at both hotels for August. I think I'm going to go with Camelot because I can get a room with a love seat there. I like those better than those two tiny chair and table combos. Tropicana has the market on property I think, but it should be a short walk from Camelot.

Insights would be fantastic.

It's definitely a short walk, probably not even that significant of a distance between the two. The Camelot and Tropicana are separated by the Carousel Inn, which is a narrow but long hotel. Are you getting the family suite at the Camelot? I think that is the only one of their rooms that has a love seat in it. If so, the family rooms are great. We've stayed in them when there were 4 people, and then some family that we were traveling with stayed there when there were only 3 of them. It can accommodate up to 6 people, I believe. If you're not staying in the family suites, the regular guest rooms are great as well.

We usually don't use the table and chairs, just because we're usually never sitting in the room! If we're not in the room, we're at the park. We don't really eat in the room and the only time we turn on the T.V. is to get weather updates/news in the evening. So our table and chairs turns into a "catch all" for our stuff - purses, jackets, etc. - real organized, eh? ;)

Just stayed at Camelot. The pool isn't well maintained, and the ice machines never have ice, but other than that, it's a good property with a very short walk to the crosswalk

We stayed at the Tropicana last year and will be this year as well. The rooms arent huge but there are 5 of us but its clean and the pool is very deep (my kids needed me to note that) The staff was great! Cant beat the quick walk either. Its our go to hotel.

Thank you all so much! We went with the Tropicana because of the pool. My daughter and I are fish and I'm sure any time not at the park will be in water. :)

From looking at the website, it is actually a double sofa bed in the Deluxe King Mini Suite. The virtual tour does show slightly different furniture than the floor plan map, however.

I'm not really a pool person. On my last cruise I so enjoyed have a sofa of some sort it just seemed link a hint. I'm assuming the Deluxe King Mini Suite is like it appears on the website. Tropicana might have the same type of room, but none were available when I booked.

Ah, that makes sense. We've never stayed in a King room there before. I actually didn't realize they had a king mini suite! :)
