Camelot Inn Reviews? Pic?

We stayed there just last week. It is clean, the room was a nice size, we had a microwave and a small fridge in our room. The walk was super easy to the park. I can't compare it to HOJO's as I've never stayed at HOJO's.

Here's my 2 cents: :goodvibes

The Camelot Inn has

- good service (similar to HoJo)

- clean rooms and good housekeeping (similar to HoJo)

- small fridge and microwave (ETA: HoJo's rooms also have a fridge, but the HoJo only has microwaves in their premium and deluxe rooms)

- free parking and coin laundry (same as HoJo)

- complimentary continental breakfast (HoJo doesn't, but it has a convenience store/market)

- small swimming pool and Jacuzzi (HoJo’s is much better – HoJo has a heated pool and a new pirate-themed playground)

- internet access costs $10 for 24 hours (wireless) (HoJo’s internet access is free --- Ethernet cable)

- 6-minute walk to the DL entrance (HoJo’s is 8 minutes)

The Camelot’s free “breakfast” has cereal, OJ, apples/oranges, pastries, and decent coffee --- if you ask, you can get a tray and carry everything back to your room.

The rooms in the HoJo seem slightly brighter than the Camelot. (I stayed in HoJo’s building #1.)

The “virtual tour” photos on the Camelot’s web-site are pretty good:

Both hotels are fairly comparable, but JMHO if you can get HoJo’s Entertainment Rate, then I would go with the HoJo.

stayed at camolot last year nov 27-dec2ed. it was grate
stayed hojos this year loved it but the walk was longer to me. I wish they had shuttle there.

how far of a walk is it from hojo to Camelot

It will be a 5 min longer walk if you take the shortcut (cross habor at manchester and cut through the Shuttle area)

ie 5 min for Camelot
10 min for Hojos

Both will depend on crosswalk timing but have averaged it out

Thank you for your input. I couldn't get the ent price since we are going to be there for Christmas. Both hotels have a special. Hojo Disney view for $159 ane 2Q for $141 at the Camelot. Since it's my first time... hard decision.

I know everyone here loves HoJo but honestly I only stay there when I can't get a good rate anywhere else. If we spent more downtime at the hotel, the I'd agree that the pool is the best. However, we usually don't spend much time there, so a decent place to stay with a free little breakfast would be my choice.

I really like Camelot and for the prices you are offered, I'd go with Camelot. A few pluses is that all rooms at the Camelot have a fridge and microwave (only select rooms at HoJo have both) and the free breakfast provides enough of a start to hold us over until lunch.

And just about every room at Camelot is a park view unless you are on the first floor. All you have to do is step out onto the walkway and you can look over at the park.

Edited to add a link to my review with photos of the Camelot suite http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=15270519#post15270519
