For fans of 70s (and 80s!) rockers Camel (Snow Goose, Rain Dances, Breathless, etc), they might like to know the band is still going strong and have just released a new CD on their own production label. Original guitarist Andy Latimer remains the foundation of the band and is as sharp as ever (think of a mellow Jimmy Page!), and the new album - A Nod And A Wink - is well worth a listen (I know cos I've just got one of the first copies, signed by Andy himself, so there nyaa!). Seriously, it is a great example of proper melodic rock and I recommend it to one and all most heartily. Look up more details on www.camelproductions.com

Happy listening!

Simon,

It was a suprise to read that someone on the DIS boards is an avid Camel fan. Well I am still waiting for my signed copy of "Nod & A Wink" to add to my vast CD collection of their work.

I first saw them in 1981 and my dh started following them 1975. We most recently saw them at the London Astoria in 2000. It was a shame that Andy had a throat infection at the time nevertherless, it was still a really good show. Especially, with the French Canadian rhythm section.

We are looking forward to their next tour.

Amazingly and magical recordings :) :)
