sorry, another question. What do you do with your comcorder and backpacks at the parks while everyone in your party rides a ride? Did you feel safe let your things out of your sight?Thanks

We put our camera/videocamera in a backpack and take it on the ride with us. Never had anything fall out. You can usually put the backpack on the floor of the ride. Some of the thrill rides have a mesh pocket to hold your personal items.

I have a med. size- LLBean fanny pack that fits my SLR 35mm in it.(a smaller camcorder will fit, too) I put it in there on rides. Our new camcorder is very small- it'll fit in a sm. fannypack. You don't have to take off the fannypack while riding. On rides with a harness- I just turn the pack to my side. Works out great.

If you buy a decent camera bag, they're usually fairly well padded and at least water resistant. I just take our camera on the ride with us.
