I have been researching which mini DV camcoder would be good for our vacation. It seems that many camera do ok in daylight and reviews seem to cover this topic well but not so for fireworks. Some reviews talk about low light performance and night modes.
We tend to be point and shot consumers but want soemthing which will record evenings in the parks and some of the evenings shows at a reasonable quality. This year we has a old Canon Hi8 set on auto.
Does anyone have any recommendations about which camcorders would do the night stuff ok? Also when looking at reviews should I focus on the low light performance or is that more for dark interiors?
any advice would be really appreciated
So far have considered sony HC46/96, Panansonic GS180/GS300 and Canon MVX460 (Elura 100).
thanks
